Persecution Not Just the Middle East
THURSDAY, JANUARY 13, 2011

BLOG ON: NEWS War in the Mideast ‚Äď On Christians

The headline reads, "War Against Christians in the Middle East," but the article began with a comment about persecution on the continent of Africa. Granted, Middle East includes part of Africa. However, the war against Christians is not specific to the Middle East or to Africa. As I pointed out just today in my regular blog post, persecution happens in Ethiopia, too. In fact, persecution has existed since the time of Christ and will continue until His return--not because some people are more violent than others (as in the Middle East); rather, the persecution happens because John 3:20 is still true: Everyone who does evil hates the light.

How Do We Answer Virginia Tech?
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18, 2007
Posted by: Cedar Grove Baptist Church | more..
In the wake of horrific murders at Virginia Tech, what are Christians to say? Or, even before we say anything, what are we to think about this tragedy? How do we understand it? What caused this to happen? How do we prevent other such tragedies?

Christians and Government
SUNDAY, APRIL 01, 2007
Posted by: Cedar Grove Baptist Church | more..
The principles here are derived from Romans 13 and from the debt of love the Christian owes to others. These principles necessitate a level of involvement with the government. There are at least three ways this obligation to love directs the...
