“ The Eternal God ” Brother Ed.Greetings!I need to add one more observation to my comments which I said immediately after the service. Peace with God is indeed great fruit of the Spirit. None can generate this fruit independently except by the grace of God. Thank You for reminding us that our God of love and God of peace is also the God of holiness and God of justice God of wrath. "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms " and the covenant is everlasting as well.
“ Great Sermon! ” What a great sermon!! I really love it. Being that old age has crept up on me (had no clue it would happen so fast), many of your points meant much. I loved the story of that Pastor Payson. Wonderful. Also, the lyrics to that AB Simpson hymn, I love.
I will always appreciate your two sermons from 2016: Union Dues Jan 16, and Where Do U Go? Jan 31. They set me on the quest to learn about the doctrine of Union With Christ and to get John Murray's book. A quest that has been a turning point in my life. I was a late bloomer to be brought into the knowledge of the doctrines of grace, etc. I've envied other's smooth jouneys, but mine, coming out of the Catholic indoctrination, has been bumpy. Yet, I'm eternally grateful to be where I am in my latter years with our God and Lord Who Is eager to reveal Himself.

“ Remembering Matthew 2:1-23 ” It is worth noting Matthew 2:1-23 in times like these. There was also a prophetic reference to Jeremiah 31:15 in the same chapter. As Herod murdered children ages 2 years and under, so the United States of America murders children through abortion. It is sad that abortion is recognized as a "legal right" under the Constitution of the United States of America as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations. Herod's murder of children ages 2 years and under was only a precursor of this modern day "legal" murder known as abortion. Even though human rights activists argue that this murder of human fetuses and embryos called abortion should be "legal", we realize that abortion is unlawful and evil in The Sight of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
“ Tenth Amendment: States' Rights To An Abortion ” As we know, the Tenth Amendment of the American Constitution says that, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." This also means that Amendment 10 enables the legalization of abortion. As we know, abortion, which is murder, is a violation of The Laws of The Kingdom of The Lord. A sermon like this also demonstrates that Amendment 10 of the American Constitution, with its principle of states' rights, is an attack on The Lord's Kingdom.
“ Abortion: Violation of Kingdom Law ” While abortion is recognized by American law, it should be noted that abortion is really a violation of The Kingdom Law of The Lord. The push for abortion worldwide is all part of a liberationist and revolutionary movement, which is really rebellion against The Lord. As stated, abortion is rebellion against The Lord because it is the murder of the unborn in the mother's womb. This sermon is an indictment against the abortion industry and its rebellion against The Lord's Righteous Authority. Worth noting Proverbs 6:16-19 in times like these.

This is one of the most wonderful sermons I've heard from your church. I truly believe every Christian should hear this. So often I've read this passage and misunderstood it, but this explanation is not only Biblical, it honors and glorifies God.

“ Great Sermon on intentional sins! ” The phylacteries are from Deut. 6:8 - I'm sure you know that the Jews didn't come up with them by themselves.
I love how this chapter points to Jesus, thank you for unpacking it. I have a question though:
Numbers 15:30-31 says to utterly cut off the intentional sinner, so why didn't the people know what to do with the man who picked up sticks on the Sabbath? Weren't the people also sinning by not obeying and bringing him back into the camp? Also it doesn't say they stoned him on the Sabbath, but if it was, wouldn't that be considered working on the Sabbath? And if so, how would this point to Jesus?
