Hezekiah’s Sign. (from an article by S.Y. Kharchenko “The Time of Jacob’s Trouble”.) “Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment” (John.12:1-3). We have defined the day of the week and day of the month, when Jesus “came to Bethany”. It was Friday the ninth day of the month of Nisan. During supper, when the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out (Jer.6:4), Mary “anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair”. What means it prophetically? To wipe with the hairs and to anoint the body of the deceased is the expression of great sorrow for the dead first-born and only son, who is prepared for burial. Jesus said: “against the day of my burying hath she kept this” (John.12:7). Prophetically this is the time of national repentance of the nation of Israel. Don’t forget that evening precedes to the great day. It is the eve of the great day, because on the next day the 10-th Nisan He solemnly entered into Jerusalem as the King of Israel (John.12:13), as the Messiah the Prince (Dan.9:25). The Lord says: “and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon” (Zech.12:10-11). They will accept Him as their Lamb, like the brethren of Joseph they will say finally: “We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us” (Gen.42:21). They “saw the anguish of his soul”, but they were indifferent. They laugh Him to scorn (Ps.21:7). They have neglected Him. They cried out to Pilate: “Away with him, away with him, crucify him” (John.19:15). Only through this tribulation “Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried” (Dan.12:10), and will be able to say, as Hezekiah said after he was recovered from the illness: “Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back” (Is.38:17). The scripture says: “I…will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God” (Zech.13:9). When Daniel was released from lion’s pit, he said: “My God...”. Thomas, when he seen Jesus resurrected, said the same words: “My Lord and my God” (John.20:28). This can only say a man has been redeemed by the Lord, the sins of whom He had cast behind His back. In the second Psalm God the Father speaks to all the peoples after the Lord Jesus Christ “hast taken to” Himself His “great power, and hast reigned” (Rev.11:17) on the eve of His second coming: “Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him” (Ps. 2:12). The kings of the earth and their armies from all tribes and peoples collected by beast will not accept the “everlasting gospel”, which will the angel preach: “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” (Rev. 14:7). These armies will perish «in the way», as there were killed in the way to the bottom of the pit the people, “which had accused Daniel”. Read (Dan.6:24): “they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den”. David said: “The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken” (Ps. 9:15), “God had brought their counsel to nought” (Neh.4:15). According to the commandment of the king, Haman the enemy of the Jews was hanged on a tree, “that he had prepared for Mordecai” (Esther.7:10). Before Mary anointed the feet of Jesus, “they made him a supper” (John.12:1-2). It’s a prototype of the marriage supper of the Lamb (Rev.19:9). “Martha served” and Lazarus, “whom he raised from the dead” “was one of them that sat at the table with him”. Mary here is a prototype of the nation of Israel on the eve of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and all they that sat at meat with Him “are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb” (Rev. 19:9). In heaven there will be joy and gladness (Rev.19:7), and on the earth for the people of Israel there will be the great tribulation -- Mary “anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair”. Here is heavenly and earthly “scenes”. And it was evening of the ninth day of the month, and in fact, from this evening there was began sabbath. And now we will look the events of another prototype of the same evening of the ninth day of the month, on the eve of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ “in his glory”. Before Jesus revealed Himself to His disciples, standing in the midst of them, “Jesus himself drew near, and went with” His two disciples (Luke 24:15) to Emmaus. When the day was far spent, “he went in to tarry with them” (Luke 24:29). And “as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them” (Luke 24:30). This supper is also a prototype of the marriage supper of the Lamb “in the kingdom of God” (Mark.14:25). But at the same time on earth the people of Israel will be in the tribulation, so that “their eyes received sight” (Matt. 20:34). “And their eyes were opened, and they knew him” (Luke 24:31). Here is also the heavenly and earthly “scenes”. Their eyes were opened, just as they received the sight two blind men sitting by the way side, when Jesus approached to Jerusalem (Matt.20:30-34). When “they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David” (Matt. 20:30). We see as the people of Israel, in the face of two of His disciples, says to themselves, just as Joseph’s brothers reasoned aloud: “Did not our heart burn within us” (Luke 24:32), “in that we saw the anguish of his soul”? (Gen.42:21). In heaven there will be great joy, and on the land there will be great tribulation. The Pharisees asked Jesus: “Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days?” (Matt. 12:10). And Jesus asked them the same question: “Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?” (Luke 14:3). Jesus asking the question, draws attention to the day of the week, healing the sick, thus meets at it: “What day of the week there will be healed Israel in? Well, of course, on the Saturday!” “And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” (Luke 13:16). What says the ceremonial law about this day? “in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your Sabbath” (Lev.23:32). How more clearly you may say about it? What could be clearer of these words? In “the ninth day of the month at even”, in fact it is already the tenth day of the month (Lev.25:9), there will begin the Millennium, “shall ye celebrate your Sabbath”, it is literally the beginning of the seventh day of the week, and figuratively speaking it is the beginning of the Millennium – “a sabbath of rest” (Lev. 16:31). The ceremonial law says that in the evening of the ninth day of the month it “is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God” (Lev.23:28), because Israel will stand before the Lord. The ceremonial law says: “ye shall afflict your souls”. The day of atonement it is a day of healing of Israel, for the benefit of them there will be great bitterness (Is.38:17) – “and he shall be clean” (Lev.14), “forasmuch as before him innocency was found in” him (Dan.6:22). “For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever” (Lev. 16:30-31). The scriptures with the words of the prophet Joel says: “Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD” (Joel.1:14), in other words: “Sanctify yourselves”! When the people of Israel came to the Jordan on the third day, Joshua said to the people: “Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you” (Josh.3:5). “And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month” (Josh.4:19). The transition of the Jordan prophetically means “of entering into his rest”. It is as to overcome a boundary between the old and the new chronology (Heb.4). Note that Hezekiah with his recovery asked the sign of his healing: “What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?” (2Kin.20:8). Why Hezekiah asked the sign? Because the Lord for Israel in the future will make “signs and wonders, great and sore” (Deut.6:22) “of the great whore” (Rev.17:1) and the kingdom of the beast (Rev.16). Hezekiah’s illness is a prototype of Israel. Now “it was shewed” unto Israel. Moses said to the people: “thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him” (Deut. 4:35). Jesus told unto the people of Israel: “Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe” (John. 4:48). When the brothers of Joseph told his father, saying, “Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt”, then “Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not” (Gen.45:26). And “when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived” (Gen.45:27). Notice, Israel “saw” and “revived”. When the Lord delivered Israel from the hand of the Egyptians, read (Ex.14:31): “And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses”. First Israel “saw”, and then the people “believed the LORD, and his servant Moses”. King Darius wrote in his command that God of Daniel “delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions” (Dan.6:27). There is a certain sign for the nation of Israel in the last days so that the people believed, “that the LORD will heal” them (2Kin.20:9). When there will be this sign, Israel will be healed, “he shall be clean”, and will be able to go up “into the house of the LORD” to stand before the Lord (Lev.12). And, note, it will be “the third day” (2Kin.20:8). So, “early in the morning” (2Chr.20:20) there will be a defeat of the armies of the beast, and the kings of the earth (Rev.14:19-20), just as “the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians” (Ex.14:24), when they went in after Israel to the midst of the sea. And at noon “the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south” (Zech.9:14).The scripture says: “I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day” (Amos.8:9). “And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark” (Zech.14:6). To contact prophetically there was made a sign of Hezekiah, it is necessary some time: “But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light” (Zech.14:7). So, “at evening time”, with the coming of the new day of the Millennium, “the shadow return backward ten steps” (2Kin.20:10). What is it mean prophetically? This means that for the tenth of the month will go the first number of first month of Millennium and it is still the first day of the week! There will be started a new chronology. Together with this sign there will still change the length of a year and a month. The year will be as it was before prior to “a flood of waters” -- 360 days, and a month will be 30 days. In order that the Lord could say to the people of Israel “Thou art my people” and they could say “Thou art my God” (Hos.2:23), Israel must pass three cleansing in the last week of years and only then “he shall be clean” (Lev.14). It will be the moment of time when Israel will “seek him” and “he will be found of” them (2Chr.15:2). Triple purification of Israel prophetically is like the ceremonial law “of the leper in the day of his cleansing” (Lev.14:2). The beginning of 70-th week of Daniel there will be concluded “the first covenant” (Heb. 8:7). The scripture prophetically says: “and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days” (Lev.14:8). In the completion of the 70th week of Daniel Israel is in a strange land, «tarry abroad out of his tent». The children of Israel will begin to seek the Lord “with all their heart” and “with all their soul” will turn to Him. And the Lord will hear their groaning, and He will remember His covenant. “on the seventh day... he shall be clean” (Lev.14:9). In “the day of atonement” -- Christ being come “an high priest of good things” (Heb. 9:11), “on the eighth day” shall make atonement for him, “and he shall be clean” (Lev.14:20). The scripture says: “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days” (Dan.12:11). This means that the next for 1290-th day will be the different day qualitatively. There will start a different time. The 1291-th day will be like the first day to restore order in the house of God, because since the beginning of the iniquity in the house of the Lord there will be held 1290 days and point, and not a day more. The prototype of this event is the return of the Tirshatha in Jerusalem. This is what he wrote about it: “But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king: And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God. And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber. Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense” (Neh.13:6-9). This great day corresponds to a certain day of the month in the ceremonial law. It is the feast of the Lord. The 1291-th day will be the tenth day of the month. It is the day of atonement. It is the day of the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ “in his glory”. The ceremonial law says: “Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land” (Lev.25:9). Because in this day “the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south” (Zech.9:14). There will be given the power unto beast “to continue forty and two months”. Prophetic month is thirty days, then a total of 1260 days there will be given unto the beast, to act on the seat of the dragon (Rev.13:2). Here we can also identify and other event, this is the end of the seventy weeks of Daniel; “And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away” there shall be a thousand two hundred and sixty days. This is the day, when the king of the Chaldeans “shall magnify himself above all”. And then it will happen immediately “after the tribulation of those days”, when the seventh angel trumpet shall sound in “those days” the Lord Jesus Christ will accept the force of His great and will reign (Rev.11:15-17). It is obvious that this event occurs on the first day of the great tribulation. And how many days there will continue the great tribulation for the nation of Israel? The Lord says: “And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face” (Ezek.20:34-35). When the children of Israel went out of Egypt, before they crossed the sea, they went three days “through the way of the wilderness” (Ex.13:18). This is a prototype of the future time. When the Lord will lead them (Rev.18:4) from the “captivity” of “the daughter of Babylon”, He will lead them “into the wilderness of the peoples”. It will be the time of the great tribulation for the nation of Israel and its duration is thirty days. The same duration will be and the wedding feast in the kingdom of God. Per (Dan.12:12) there be stated another significant event, which they will be expected. “Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days” (Dan.12:12). Here is already, please note, no word is said about the wickedness and abominations in the house of the Lord, though the expense of days continues to be relatively middle of the seventieth week of Daniel, when the daily sacrifice will be terminated. The 1335-th day will be the 14th day of the second month. As it is known this day of the second month according to the ceremonial law is for those who could not keep the Passover of the Lord “at that time” (2 Chr. 30:3). In that day there will be made Passover of the Lord, which no one ever in Israel did make. Jesus Christ once offered Himself as a sacrifice for the redemption of men for their transgressions. It was the Passover “in the first month”. And now, “in the second month” “that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called” (Heb. 9:15) will receive the eternal inheritance. “Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD” (Ezek. 36:37-38). “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection” (Rev. 20:6). When first Jesus “came unto his own” (John 1:11); it was the 10-th day of the month of Nisan (John.12), then “his own received him not”. They rejected of Him the 14th of Nisan. The second time, when He again come “unto his own”, “unto them that look for him” unto salvation (Heb. 9:28), and this also again there will be the 10-th day of the month, then they shall take Him as their Lamb. And 14 of the number of the second month it will be made a new covenant and this will be the same day when there will be “turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day” (Esther.9:22). “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah” (Heb. 8:8). And “the first covenant” (Heb. 8:7), of which here prophetically it was said, will be made before the beginning of the seventieth week of Daniel, “because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not” (Heb. 8:9). “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days” (Heb. 8:10). In “the days” (Ezek.22:14) when it will be the time of the great tribulation for the people of Israel. “I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people” (Heb. 8:10). And then prophetically there will be executed the word of the Lord: “and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant” (Gen.17:13). After Daniel was liberated from lion’s den and from his enemies, he “prospered in the reign of Darius” (Dan.6:28). The Lord says: “as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing” (Zech.8:13). God will bless Israel in the 1,000-year Kingdom, as “the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning” (Job.42:12). Here is the correct order of the books of the New Testament accordance to doctrinal value for each period of time: Matthew------- historically describe the period of time 34-a prophetic year, Mark---------- Luke---------- and, prophetically, the Ministry of Israel in the Millennium. John-------- Acts------ historically this is a transitional period from Israel to the Church in 38 of the prophetic years, and prophetically-- time prior to 2000 prophetic years. These are Apostle Paul's epistles "to the seven churches", which correspond to the period prior the rapture (1Thess.4:17) of the "church of the firstborn"(Heb. 12:23): Rom. The 1st and the 2nd Corinthians. Gal. Eph. Philip. Col. The 1st and the 2nd Thess. After of the rapture of the "church of the firstborn"-- of the first sheaf of the harvest it will be the whole "the harvest of barley harvest and of wheat harvest"(Ruth.2:23). In this period of time the believers also need to be on a "more sure word of prophecy"(2 Pet. 1:19). This period of time in the 49-th prophetical years doctrinally correspond to the three Epistles of the Apostle Paul: The 1st and the 2nd of Timothy----- 42 of the prophetic year Titus --------------- 6 years Philemon -------- 1 year The last 7 years of 49 prophetic years it is the 70th week of Daniel. A period of transition from the Church to Israel is 49 prophetic years. Here we see the "formula" 7+3=10. 10 is the number of the Gentiles in the Bible. These 10 the epistles of the Apostle Paul(7—to the churches and 3--to the people) correspond to the period of time "until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in"(Rom.11:25), and "there should be time no longer"(Rev.10:6) for the adoption of righteousness by faith. This is the period before the enthronement of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rev.11:17-19). The following by the order of the books of the New Testament: Hebrews----- the time inculcating of the natural branches into their own olive tree (Rom.11:24).The beginning it will be into 50-th the prophetic year. This period will be thirty days. It is the transition period to the Millennium. The very first book of the Bible which doctrinally corresponds to the Millennium shows "the royal law"(James.2:8). It is "The general epistle of James". This "royal law" will come into force in 1335-th day (Dan.12:12). This “royal law” is written in Matthew 5-7. This day God will make the new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. James (general)----------------- 1 Pet. (general)----------------- 2Peter (general)------------------- 1John (general)----------------------Millennium. 2John---------------------------- 3John------------------------------ Jude (general)----------------------- Revelation is the book of the Court. The new Covenant “with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah”. In the beginning of 70-th week of Daniel God “will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah” (Heb. 8:8), so that Israel could “seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul”(2Chr.15:12). During the rule of “the idol shepherd” (Zech.11:17), Israel will break this Covenant. It is about the violation of this Covenant is said in (Heb. 8:9).Therefore God will make with Israel, “a new covenant” in the 50-th jubilee year. Israel will enter “the head, and not the tail” (Deut.28:13) in the Millennium. The 70th week of Daniel will end on the1260th day. Since the moment of the rapture of the “church of the firstborn"(Heb. 12:23),(this is the first sheaf of the harvest), which will come up soon, there will be held 49 prophetical years -- the time of the harvest, before the enthronement of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rev.11:17). After there will be lifted up “a sheaf of the firstfruits” (Lev.23:10), there will come the time “of barley harvest and of wheat harvest” (Ruth.2:23). At the moment of the enthronement of the Lord Jesus Christ will be the beginning of the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel and “the kingdom shall not be left to other people” (Dan.2:44), and after 30 days in the1291th day, “it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” This will occur at the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ “in his glory” (Matt.25:31). The Lord will smite the Antichrist and the peoples who will come to fight “against Jerusalem” (Zech.14:16). The moment of this event – “he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Rev. 19:15). These people will be “slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse”(Rev. 19:21), and the Antichrist and the false prophet will be “cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone” (Rev. 19:20). The others “out of all the peoples”(Zech.14:16), which won’t come to fight “against Jerusalem”, after the judgment over the Nations will be entered in the Millennium. The Lord, as he had promised, “will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah” (Heb.8:8). This will happen in 1335-th day (Dan.12:12), counting from the middle of the 70-th week of Daniel. Immediately after the 1260th day (Rev. 11:3) there will be occur the enthronement of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rev. 11:17), “then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory”(Matt.24:30). In this moment “the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets” (Rev.10:7). The Father will tell to the Son: “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession” (Ps.2:8). This is the moment of the birth of “a man child”, who will rule “all nations with a rod of iron” (Rev.12:5), and through 30 days He will “dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel” (Ps. 2:9). Between 1260-m and 1290-m days there will be “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jer.30:7). This period of time doctrinally corresponds to “the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Hebrews". Through 30 days after the enthronement of the Lord Jesus Christ and the marriage of the lamb (Rev. 19:7; 9) there will be a second evident coming of Jesus Christ “in his glory” (Matt.25:31). What do you think about it?
