| ABOUT Springs Reformed Church - RPCNA |
|
|
|
 | The Springs Reformed Church (RPCNA) is a confessionally Reformed church located in downtown Colorado Springs, CO. We believe that the Westminster Standards (Confession, Larger Catechism, and Shorter Catechism) are the best and most accurate summary of biblical teaching available on the various topics that they cover. Our purpose is "...to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever." We believe that the worship of God is regulated by His Word and thus the Word is central in our services, being sung, prayed, read, and preached faithfully each Lord's Day.
Our attendance each Lord's Day morning now averages around 160 people. We have lots of children, single folks, young couples, and families of all sizes.
Trying to be faithful to the whole counsel of God, the Word is preached in our morning service in an expository, biblical-theological fashion, in our second hour Sunday School classes we focus on various themes and issues that are faced in the Christian life (e.g. prayer, church history, apologetics, etc.), and in the evening we go through our Confessional Standards in a systematic theology style teaching.
We do have second hour Sunday School classes for all ages and a congregational prayer meeting every Lord's Day evening following the study. A basic congregational schedule is:
Each Lord's Day:
Morning Worship-9:45am Second Hour Classes (Sept. through May)-11:45am Evening Study-5:30pm Congregational Prayer Meeting-6:30pm
Each Wednesday:
Session Prayer Meeting-9:00am
Each Month:
Woman's Fellowship-1st Tuesday Evening (Sept. through May) Men's Breakfast-1st Saturday Morning (Sept. through May) Afternoon Congregational covered-dish meal-1st Lord's Day every other month Evening Congregational covered-dish meal-3rd Lord's day evening every other month Lord's Supper-2nd Lord's Day each month, alternating between morning and evening services.
Sunday: 9:45 am, 5:30 pm Sunday School: 11:45 am (Sept. through May) |
