| ABOUT Mullaglass Free Presbyterian Church |
 | Mullaglass Free Presbyterian Church commenced on 18th of November 1971 when a number of people from the district felt the need for a separated witness in their own area. Initially there was one service on a Sunday afternoon with about twelve people in regular attendance. The congregation met for twenty four years in a prefabricated Hall but as the attendances increased this building became too small. A new building was then erected on a site on the main Armagh Road out of Newry and was opened on 18th of November 1995. The congregation has since added further to its facilities in the opening of a new Church Hall.
The congregation has had four ministers: Rev. David Linden (1975 – 1978), Rev. Alex Chambers ( 1979 – 1987) and Rev. Maurice Baxter (1988 – 1998). The current minister is Rev. David McMillan who ministered in South Wales for just over nine years before moving to Mullaglass in September 2001.
A full programme of evangelistic outreach is engaged in by the Church including: Gospel Missions, a Sunday School, three Children’s Meetings, a Youth Fellowship, a Door to Door Outreach programme, messages in local Newspapers and on the Radio and the Minister speaks at four School Assemblies.
We are Fundamental in Doctrine, believing in the divine authority and verbal inspiration of the Bible, and the great fundamental doctrines of grace it contains. The Scriptures alone are the supreme authority in matters of faith and practice. The Free Presbyterian Church uses only the Authorized Version (KJV) of the Bible. We believe and practice the Biblical doctrine of separatism. In accordance with this, the Free Presbyterian Church has no association with the modern Ecumenical or Charismatic movements, nor will it fellowship with any church which has departed from the fundamental doctrines of the Word of God.
