Around us on every hand, foundations are falling, and, in the words of God Himself, ‘If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?’ We have provided in a small way, an answer to that rhetorical question, ‘What can the righteous do?’ They can send their children to Calvary Christian School where the foundations cannot be destroyed. Our foundations cannot be destroyed because they are the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. The foundations of our modern educational systems are the shifting sands of Humanism, permissiveness, evolutionary ‘science,’ falsely so called, and the very same philosophies that led Socrates to take one drink too many! We invite you to join us as we build upon our Foundation. Our plan is ‘Education As It Used To Be!’ Our purpose is Christian character, love, a safe learning environment, discipline, and, included in the deal, a good education. We are willing to make any sacrifice to help our children attain these goals. STATEMENT OF BELIEFS That the King James Bible is the perfect Word of God (Psalm 12:6-7; Deut. 6:6-7; Matthew 4:4), and the advocate in the family of God In the personal (I Thessalonians 4:16-18), imminent (Hebrews 10:37), and premillennial second coming of Christ — first to receive His own to Himself (I Thessalonians 4:16-18) and later to set up His earthly Kingdom and to reign over the redeemed Israel and all the nations of the world - that is, to bring peace and blessing to the whole world (Luke 1:31-33). That all who, by faith, receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5) and receive the Holy Spirit and a new nature (Romans 9:9,10) - that they are also anointed with the Spirit (I John 2:20) and, by the Holy Spirit, are baptized into the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:13). That God is the spiritual Father only of those who trust His Son, Jesus Christ, as Savior (John 1:12) - that only those saved through faith in Christ are spiritual brothers (Galatians 3:26, I John 1:7). That God commands us to be totally responsible for the education and training of our children (Deuteronomy 6:6-9), and that only Christ-centered education is acceptable to God (Colossians 2:2-8). We further believe that God commands us to refuse to allow our children to be taught any material contrary to the teachings of the Bible (Proverbs 19:27). We believe, family, that no form of education or instruction is religiously neutral (John 15:5). That the local church is commanded by God to be autonomous (Titus 1:5, I Peter 5:1-3); that all ministries of the Church, including youth work, daily education of our children, Sunday School, pulpit ministry, etc., are to be conducted only by born-again Christians who are approved by the Elders (Acts 6:3). We expressly believe that no person active in any of the above mentioned ministries can be a homosexual (Romans 1:24-28) or anyone who denies any literal teaching of the Word of God (Luke 24:25). “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man” (Luke2:52). “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that neededth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (II Timothy 2:15).
