Thank you Absolutely amazing !, You clearly express the weakness of the Church in our generation. The fact that you actually 'call out' those that influence many away from absolute truth is bold. I must confess, I also have not quite seen the subtleties of these heresies. You have contributed to me being more diligent in my personal studies n considering the prophetic times in which we live, it is quite understandable how such teachings would find there way into a 'shallow' Church and why. Thank you for your commitment to the whole counsel of our Savior. I have been affected by the Ministry of the Holy Spirit through your faithful teaching. May we labor together to prepare others for eternity. :)
Great Sermon! James: Scott makes it clear that justification is not synonymous with salvation, although it is certainly necessary to salvation. Surely everyone would agree that regeneration is necessary to justification and ultimately salvation (Jn 3:3,5) So, where do you see Scott leading people astray?
Questionable Exposition Listen and see for yourself. Scott tries to argue that justification can be lost once attained. He also seems to combine regeneration and sanctification into justification. Beware this sermon, as it may lead some astray.
Great Sermon! Learned so much from this sermon! I had no idea how damaging dispensationalism was! Honestly, one hears about the dispensations everywhere. I have heard about dispensations since I was a young Christian and have heard different sermons that utilize the different dispensations to make a point. "Cheap grace Jesus" really was an eye opening message. Its very good that we can hear these types of truths today, however it makes one very sad to realize that most of the people that are around them that claim to be Christian are believing in some type of false Jesus.
Great Sermon! Amen! Finally I hear a series of messages that tell the truth about what is going on in this country and about what has happened to Christianity. Sadly, when one goes to church nowadays one rarely hears about the true Jesus but one form or another of a false Jesus. I have been what Eric Barger (Take a Stand ministries) calls "divorced from church" for a while because I cannot find a church that truly teaches the bible. For a long time I thought something was wrong with me, but I have been starting to see that it is not me, it is the heresy and apostasy that is everywhere. Praise God He has given me discernment and praise God for godly men like yourself.
Great Sermon! Since Pastor Jarrett is the only other person that has a bio. of Pink on Sermon Audio, besides one I did a few years ago - http://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?keyword=Life%20of%20Pink - my interest was piqued. I wanted to check out your website as well. What I see and hear is most encouraging.I found it interesting that Pastor Jarrett was here in Grand Rapids for school (right next to our church). I like the passion in which this was taught. May God bless the work there in Denver. Just a few years ago we couldn't find many good churches in your area, but are thankful for you there and Alex Strauch over in Littleton!
Broken mind One can have a broken leg and be prescribed drugs which kill the pain. One can have problems with organs and be prescribed drugs which will cure those problems. It stands to reason then that one can have a brain which has a problem and can be treated by drugs which, thank the Lord, are available for such problems.
Pastor: Divorces Destroying Church? Dear Pastor Jarrett, Thank you for your message. "The fabric of the family is unraveling at an alarming rate," said Chris Brauns, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church in Stillman Valley, Illinois. "Divorce is such a problem in the churches where I have served that if I so chose, I could have more than a full-time job working with couples in the midst of marital crises. Or I could have another full-time position working with children from divorced homes." [http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/tgc/2011/01/05/americas-heartland-suddenly-rocky/] With a church that's self-destructing, what's a pastor to do? Blessings.
