“ Great encouragement! ”
God is able to keep and preserve HIS people, sustaining them in the very heart of enemy territory-appointing that very dwelling place! All directed by the very hand of our Sovereign God-the place where He has appointed in His own perfect providence for His own gracious purpose. If you are seeking to obey God then this is most helpful and blessed instruction. Have you a promise to rest on? God always fulfills His promises.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I am in bed with arms that feel like they have chopped down 100 trees with a blunt axe then forced to chop down another 100 with the same-a mystery weakness in the arms and legs. The Lord has sovereignly placed me here despite my hope and efforts to get to church this day-so I am blessed to have opportunity to hear God's word and thankful for sermonaudio!

“ Great devotion to God's rule. ”
The Covenanters fought against 3 enemies: papacy, prelacy and erastianism. Tis message is stressing the relationship between church and state. We must affirm the rule of God over the church and state.

This was a wonderful blessing as the Lord had been pleased to bring me to consider the Eagle at a great time of personal crisis and from doing so to gain much spiritual encouragement. Listening to the sermon was once again a great reminder of the Most High God's amazing lovingkindness.

The raven's heavenly provider
Rev. Noel Hughes

“ Great Sermon! ”
Rev Hughes does an excellent job in unfolding the spiritual applications from considering the Raven. At a previous home my mother used to feed these birds and it was amazing to watch as one bird would teach its young how to gather the food whilst another high up in the trees kept look out. The food was placed in a clear plastic bag on the lawn and one bird would come and walk the garden fence assessing the situation. Whilst our 'intelligent' dog had no idea how to empty the contents the Raven was able to do so in an orderly and smart fashion! So next time you hear the grating croak consider a) it's intelligence http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2007/apr/29/theobserversuknewspages.uknews1 and b) what God is pleased to teach us by His creating such a wonderful bird!

“ Great Sermon! ”
It is very moving indeed to hear of this sad bereavement and my heart goes out to the family concerned and I pray they will know the merciful felt comfort that only our Heavenly Father can bestow. May God be pleased to move in the village and use such a heartbreaking tragedy to touch the heart of a poor lost sinner and draw such to Christ. In the listings and directly under Rev Hughes sermon is the following: God Plans All Accidents » 7/13/2008 (SUN) » Ephesians 1:1-12 http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=713081640486 'God plans everything in our life, good, bad and indifferent. No accidents accidently happen; God ordains them all. The question then is: what is God doing and telling you in all that happens to you.' God is surely speaking through this tragedy in Gardenstown may He be pleased to speak through his blessed servant Rev Hughes.

Sermon:
Why the Righteous Suffer
Rev. Noel Hughes

comment
“ Great Sermon! ”
28th May a Pastor in America told me he would be remembering me in prayer and with the church on the following Lord's day. June 2nd I amazingly came into contact with the only English specialist dealing with my particular health problem-'amazingly' because this Prof. just happens to be situated at the University in my local city! June 1st I happened to or should I say was compelled to listen to 5 sermons on sermonaudio. As the sermons progressed I believe the Lord was comforting and encouraging to contine to wait patiently against all the human odds regarding a particular promise. This was the first sermon and dealing with why the righteous suffer- that God might be glorified! No accidents or chances for God is in control of every event. Testing faith in order to strenghthen it. Perplexities-we cry 'Lord look at this' but He already knoweth our sorrows and is working in a way beyond our comprehension. This was a most helpful sermon and thank you Rev Hughes.

Reality TV - Unreal TV
Rev. Noel Hughes

“ The Baron-the real truth? ”
Corinthians 2:11 'Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices' This month the Baron finally aired on TV -a tribute to Mike Reid who died without a Saviour July 2007- soon after filming in Gardenstown. Sadly this 'reality' TV was 'really' orcherstrated by the producers for their own ends-which becomes all too apparent, to ridicule fundamentalism and consequently the villagers. How could the vile Mclaren(MM) end up staying with a professing Christian family if not pre-planned-to cause the anarchy (reaction) which MM loves to instigate and of course he was invited to create- 'entertainment'? MM's blasphemy in the progs is shocking and that was why he was there. The vacuous 'celebrities' mock the people and lovely town of Gardenstown away from camera using vile language. With careful editing the producers get the reaction they desire from the villagers. Satan is crafty. Professing christians were deceived-the Church of Scotland Minister is seen helping MM in his campaign- though out of ignorance of who MM was-though even non-christians proved more alert. Rev Hughes's sermon observations last year do PROVE the necessity of a separated Christian witness and a minister not ignorant of Holy Scripture and consequently satan's devices.

Surviving the Wilderness
Rev. Noel Hughes

“ Great Sermon! ”
Found this a real blessing when I heard it last Lord's day and reminded me of the scripture below. 'He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye...so the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him' Deut 32: 10-12. What a testimony Caleb had 'thou hast wholly followed the LORD' How to survive the wilderness? Well, listen to this sermon!

“ 'Make the gospel fruitful O'Lord ”
Rev Hughes will understand when I say this week a substantial amount of money had been withdrawn from my bank account over a period of months-I have been too unwell to check such properly. Imagine my shock when I discovered my 'quiet' 'well behaved' 12 year old son was responsible. Rev Hughes makes the most important point re: Christian parents and their children. False UK 'churches'which are growing are attracting the youth by their worldliness 'appealing to the world in their hearts' -see the front page of a new charimatic alpha group in my birth town, a jazz night in a local pub where the church can let their hair down. http://www.countychurch.co.uk/news_whatwhen.htm From their website articles: "More & more churches are working together with a mission focus. BBC Radio Five Live announced... that several churches in Maidstone Kent had bought £25,000 worth of tickets for Mel Gibson’s ‘The Passion of the Christ’. The announcer...concluded that it was ”in order to boost their congregations”. No, they were churches on a mission! Churches are also putting Alphas on together, praying for their locality, and sponsoring events to invite people to" The devil is on a mission to ensnare the youth of our generation-what is needed-'the remedy'-listen to the sermon!

further blessing: As I prepare for bed I read Spurgeon's cheque book..'Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth' Mark 9: 23. 'The worst of it is, that we can believe god about everything except the present pressing trial. This is folly. Come, my soul, shake off such sinfulness, and trust thy God with the load, the labour, the longing of this present. This done, all is done'

“ Timely Sermon! ”
'Continue Believing' Ken Elliot http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=1126071544480 Rev Hughes I listened to the sermon by Ken Elliot on Jeremiah 33.3. I was thinking upon waiting upon the Lord this morning then read C H Spurgeon's daily readings for morning December 9th, 'Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you' Isaiah 30: 18 The evening reading is re: a promise I had prayed about that morning that the Lord had given me a few years ago: 'My people shall dwell in quiet resting places'... Isa 32: 18. So a blessing to see that reading of a verse upon my heart. Presently I am suffering at the hand of a neighbour and our resting place is anything but peaceful with even our health suffering. I write all this as I had become impatient, struggling to endure, cast down in waiting, yet the Lord is clearly saying HE WILL BE GRACIOUS even unto me of such little faith. I write this as you will understand then how much I appreciate your timely sermon which is an encouraging word to keep waiting the Lord's time 'patiently' despite the disappointments and afflictions. Thank you so much.

Sermon:
Unworthy of mercy
Rev. Noel Hughes

comment
“ Great Sermon! ”
Found this to be a timely provision as I spent earlier today wondering at a timely precious promise that exactly fitted my circumstance and need as I hit rock-bottom. God has a precious promise for our every need and this sermon is a blessing in how God provides in answer to our praying over such a timely promise despite our unworthiness of His mercy.
