The Spirit is at Work Here I enjoyed your broadcast. Much of what you discussed has been shown to me as well. Have you been shown Christ's revelation of the surrender of our will? It may bring some resolution on the daunting task of trying to emulate Christ, even with the help of the Spirit. I'll leave you with two key texts: Gal 6:3 and Rom 10:4. Do we fulfil law/principles with God's help or is the righteousness of God His work through us?
Great Sermon! A message full of vitality and power, the vital signs of life, I must admit in hearing sometimes I don't really hear, but this sermon rekindled a fire in my heart and made me alive once more of how great our GOD/SAVIOUR is and His mighty works and power. I would like to echo The LORD'S WORDS, well done good and faithful servant. Thank you. GOD BLESS!
Strong rebuke from the Holy Spirit I am astonished with the accuracy in which I was described by Spurgeon, over one hundred years ago. I am that idle Christian which he is speaking to, and I was ashamed of myself upon hearing this sermon. I try to make my life clean, and to be confident in the grace of my Savior, but I am so lazy regarding other people. I do not lift a finger, I have given up in prayer for the lost. Thank God He has rebuked me in my youth and not on the day of Judgment. I need to get out there and work hard for the kingdom NOT for salvation, but because to be idle and let other brothers and sisters do the work is sin in so many ways, clearly outlined by Spurgeon. Please listen to this sermon.
Great Sermon! This Acts Series is mightily inspiring in the many lessons it contains on witnessing for our risen Lord. And of great encouragement to anyone yearning for God to restore to today's church the power to "turn the world upside down"!
Powerful message This is a powerful must hear message. Charles Spurgeon's pulpit was aflame with a passion for soulwinning that is sadly absent from many churches today. God forgive me for my idleness and lack of zeal for the lost. This sermon should be read by every bible believing church in America. We don't need seeker sensitivity we need a stern rebuke akin to the one that Spurgeon gave his church. You will be blessed and likely convicted by listening to this sermon.
Powerfully Striking Sermon! I have been deeply convicted of my sins by hearing this sermon. The speaker's reading of Spurgeon has taken God's word and rebuked me to my very core. I have nothing to hide behind. God forgive me of this great sin of doing nothing. Thanks so much for this ministry and your commitment to serving God.
