Great Sermon! I`m guilty.....I was one of those kids who threw off the chains by 65 it was sex, drugs and rock and roll....Life , Liberty and the pursuit of happiness....what a big lie it took me many years to realize it should have Truth instead. I`m 68 now and am vexed by the filth we wallow in...but I thank my God....The Lord Jesus that he has forgiven me. Thank You for this very timely message....James Hamilton in Washington STate
Great Sermon! This was a great message on the canon of scriptures. The information on Jesus not using the Apocrypha was new to me. Just one point. Thomas Nelson published a book called "The Majority Text" which includes corrupt text. Do a search. At one time the term was used to be the same as the TR but when Nelson published their book the name has become something else. Listen to sermon by Doug Levesque "What is Wrong with the ESV. I listen to a lot of your messages. Such a blessing. Thanks David
Great Sermon! Dr. Ferrell this was a good teaching on Baptist History. You covered a lot of ground. Kind of like Stephens last sermon in Acts 7 where he recaped history from Abraham to Jesus coming and his place now in heaven at the right hand of God. Loved it.
Great Sermon! Hi Brother Ferrel,
Was at Trinity Northbrook in December when Bob Jones was visiting. He challenged us to read our bibles through again. I took his challenge starting at Genesis. I'm in Isaiah now. The Lord led me to your recorded sermons, so I selected Isaiah in the hope I'd gain a better understanding as I read through the book. THANK YOU! It was powerful and I learned a great deal. I was absolutely blown away when you compared the 66 chapters to the 66 books of the Bible. WOW! I look forward to listening to many more. Thank you for your work In Christ.
Great Sermon! I still remember the first day of 7th grade history class, the teacher walks in and without introduction declares in a voice made for an epic TV movie that Magellan circumnavigated the earth ... i will never forget this, also when we were made to recite the Gettysburg address and sing The Battle Hymn of the Republic in front of a combined history and English class unit, that was utter humiliation for a young me and i would do it again, that was character building, i still love history and study it ...
