Great Sermon! Hi, this is Paul Sarah's son. I don't really remember anything from the sermon on the day, I am sat in Boston remembering my mum and I came across this audio via Google. I really want to thank you for a lovely sermon that I know my mum would be proud off. There is not a day, hour or minute that goes buy that I don't think of my mum, it makes me feel comforted inside to know she loved the church and is in the safe hands if our lord. Thank you for you kind words and I look forward to visiting mount Merrion church the next time I am home in belfast. All my prays to you all and to my wonderful auntie Alwyn please let her know I live and miss her. God bless
Much Needed Topic.... Funny thing is those who are saved know that time is short and those who aren't think time is plenty. I praise God for saving me and I know no why He would save me and I wish so much I could reach my family but I think they're too embedded in the world as, sadly, it is this way for most.
God Bless, wonderful sermon
A short, but jam-packed introduction to covering Though it was delivered to youth, it is a sermon that transcends age. In only 38 minutes Philip Gardiner makes a positive case for head covering, speaks about the various objections and explains the principle of headship which the symbol points to. In such a short time he covers an astonishing amount of ground, thoroughly. One thing that stands out in this sermon is Philip’s heart and concern for the things that are greater than the symbol of covering. He asks of the Lord in prayer, ”that our lives might be brought into conformity to the Word of God, not merely in the outward practice, but also in the heart“. He shows concern that some objections (particularly, seeing Paul as a Chauvinist–bringing his own cultural views of men/women into the Scripture) undermine the inspiration of Scripture. Also at the end he makes an appeal for everyone to be under the more important covering, the “covering that there is in the precious blood…that covers your sin”. I commend this sermon to you as a short, but jam-packed introduction to head covering.
A Must for all Godly families My husband and I listened to this sermon. We have a young family and found this an invaluable resource for properly conducting worship in our home. An excellent sermon with much needed practical guidance and advice for conducting family worship within the home. A sermon that every Godly family should listen to and implement in their home. It emphasises the neccessity of family worship and to me it is the ultimate answer to the problems within our churches. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn more about this vital aspect of Godly family life.
Well worth the time! My wife and I were really challenged by this sermon! We sometimes struggle to worship regularily as a family - Dr. Beeke helped us see how important this is, and the blessing it can be for us, and our children. Some great practical tips and ideas as well!
