Real questions looking for real answers In reference to people who saved they got saved because of a gospel message and invitation at a music event Pastor Lewis said "I would question whether they had a true born again experience." To that I would ask: what salvation "prayer" or "experience" would you not question? Because the scripture seems to lead us to question all salvation based on the fruit from the persons life. Why are you questioning their salvation by anything else?
Another thing that was said "anything that you can't fast from owns you." Does this mean someone who doesn't fast from food (like they probably should sometimes) is not saved because they haven't fasted in the years since their salvation commitment? No. So communicating that a kid who believes they were saved at a music event is probably not really saved because they feel they can't fast from a music they like is bad logic and is not scriptural.
Certain Christian artists were rebuked for their actions, probably rightfully so. Does this mean the songs they have made based out of scripture are not godly? Were the songs David wrote ungodly the moment he slept with Bathsheba? Should parents have told their children to never listen to his songs? Should "Thy Word" (based on the Psalms) be thrown out because Amy Grant released it first?
Revealing Sermon! This is a powerful revelation of what is the deep meaning of this Hip Hop music that is controlling our youth. The power of music is greater than most understand and in many cases is molding the listeners to something very evil. Excellent explanation of this kind of music.
