Raised eyebrows A person who is dead in their sins can make themselves alive in Christ by reading the Bible and trying their best to live by what it says? Doing that doesn't make anyone a genuine Christian. It will make them a "professing" Christian though which mostly fill churches today. Who needs the Holy Spirit then. There is obviously a misunderstanding of John Calvin and what he taught about the Father, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit 's work in the heart of an individual that brings them to salvation. There are a lot of man made counterfeit Christians running around thinking they are the real deal when in fact they will hear those words from Jesus saying "...I Never Knew You..." Examine ourselves to see if we are truly in the faith. The Holy Spirit hadn't left the scene. Man can read the Bible 24 hours straight. If the Holy Spirit isn't involved in the saving processed, you are not saved and remain in your sin. That's what John Calvin preached. More homework to be done.
Great Sermon! As an ex RC, what you said was the truth,
I did listen also to the other news program by Mr. Hammack and was grieved and angered to hear him advise his listening audience to read the Antichrists books.
Many wolves out there,church BEWARE!
Great Sermon! The reason the gospel message is watered down becausethe pastors are not qualified under what Paul has taught us in Tim & Tit & most of the bible colleges & seminaries teaching doctrines/tradition of men
If Everyone If everyone preached the way you described in your short commentary there would be no need for someone to lead another in a traditional sinner's prayer. Instead, men and women would cry to the Lord for mercy like the publican did of Luke 18 who of his own initiative articulated his greatest need of mercy and grace from the Sovereign God of the Universe. I agree with you that the watered down preaching of the Word has led to the perceived need to prompt a canned response to felt needs sermons and feel good preaching. If a man lacks faith to believe let him ask God for the faith to believe the gospel. And when God answers that pray let him rest in the promise of God that God grants eternal life to those who believe the gospel.
Great Sermon! A timely and sobering message. As usual, Michael, superbly said. While the tone of your voice may not relay the immediacy of this threat, it does convey the dark and dire state that Islamic ideology (Shariâa) will bring with it.
After watching Anjem Choudaryâs video, it is apparent that the aim is to use modern day Christianity (as practiced by many "emerging" churches)to promote Islamic dominance by the âacceptanceâ of false doctrine. When he spoke of equating ârendering unto Caesar what is Caesarâsâ to âaccepting Shariâa law to keep Christians from sinningâ, my blood pressure peaked.
I will say that I do not believe that âlibertyâ is the goal as much as âfreedomâ for humankind. The word liberty, used Biblically as well as in modern life, many times means the freedom to do as one wishes, without regard of the consequences. Freedom, on the other hand, brings with it responsibility to society, oneself and, of course, God, the author.
âBlessed are the meek (obedient)â. Letâs not let this âdarkness on our doorstepâ be ignored. I hope people listen to your words (preferably more than once), take them to heart and act. Never before, as a nation, have we needed to repent and seek God as we need to now. 2Chr7:14 Thank you for sharing your burden and let us pray that it becomes the burden of many.
Great Sermon! Powerful message FULL of excellent teaching and spot on application of Biblical passages. I plant to use this message over the homeschool year to teach these truths to my boys. Thank you to Mr Hranek.
Outstanding Message! Stated in a clear and firm, scripturally grounded manner. A message that says it all, what people NEED to hear. To say, "The world is going to Hell so why should I stand my ground?" is insane. Now is the time for people to stop scratching their ears, read the scriptures carefully and listen to this message.
Great Sermon! If you listen to one sermon this week, make this the one. Timely, valuable, truthful information that should be on the front burner of everyone's agenda today. Don't let out churches become polluted with false teachings. Listen.
Great Sermon! Strong words that needed to be spoken in this day of daparture & apostasy..
When so many Christians seem ignorant of the Words of Scripture but seem to know more of the current pop songs/TV programs & the "tickling ears" trends of a Godless Generation. Is it any wonder the "Devil`s Crowd" have made such inroads into the life of The Nation.
Your sermon title caught my interest. I've already come to the conclusion a couple of years ago (prior to Obama being elected), that God will punish western society with the rise of Islam for not submitting to Him. People claim that Christianity is too restrictive.
God has said: Oh you think that my way it's restrictive, intolerant and demanding? Fine! Have it your way. Now you will have a false religion that should suit you just fine! Then you will find out just who and what is intolerant and restrictive.
(Sorry God if I'm putting words in Your mouth.)
Our children are in for an ordeal. It's time we Christians start being salt and light in our society.
