Instead, men and women would cry to the Lord for mercy like the publican did of Luke 18 who of his own initiative articulated his greatest need of mercy and grace from the Sovereign God of the Universe. I agree with you that the watered down preaching of the Word has led to the perceived need to prompt a canned response to felt needs sermons and feel good preaching. If a man lacks faith to believe let him ask God for the faith to believe the gospel. A timely and sobering message. ” As usual, Michael, superbly said. While the tone of your voice may not relay the immediacy of this threat, it does convey the dark and dire state that Islamic ideology (Shari’a) will bring with it. After watching Anjem Choudary’s video, it is apparent that the aim is to use modern day Christianity (as practiced by many "emerging" churches)to promote Islamic dominance by the “acceptanceâ€� of false doctrine. When he spoke of equating “rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar’sâ€� to “accepting Shari’a law to keep Christians from sinningâ€�, my blood pressure peaked. I will say that I do not believe that “libertyâ€� is the goal as much as “freedomâ€� for humankind. The word liberty, used Biblically as well as in modern life, many times means the freedom to do as one wishes, without regard of the consequences. Freedom, on the other hand, brings with it responsibility to society, oneself and, of course, God, the author. “Blessed are the meek (obedient)â€�. Let’s not let this “darkness on our doorstepâ€� be ignored. I hope people listen to your words (preferably more than once), take them to heart and act. To say, "The world is going to Hell so why should I stand my ground?" is insane. People claim that Christianity is too restrictive. God has said: Oh you think that my way it's restrictive, intolerant and demanding? Fine! Have it your way. Now you will have a false religion that should suit you just fine! Then you will find out just who and what is intolerant and restrictive. (Sorry God if I'm putting words in Your mouth.)
