Uplifting message! This message has helped me to better understand and see God's purpose in the severe adversity which He has lovingly brought into my life. It is comforting to be reminded that He does love me and is even closer to me now than any other time. I am truly grateful for Bro. Thackway and the wonderful messages that the Lord has given to us through him!I pray that others are comforted through hearing them as well!
Small Correction I'd just like to offer a minor correction to something I said in this sermon. During the sermon I incorrectly stated that Psalm 80 is an exilic psalm. However, it was, in fact, according to the superscription, written by Asaph, which would put it at an earlier date.
One of my favourite pastor;s but..... Philippians Ch2 v10, That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Jesus Christ is God!!!!!!!
Thank you-very encouraging! Literally 'boxed in', living in 'a cul-de-sac', having problems with deceitful neighbours, no seemingly 'possible way of escape', 'shut in', but going forward in faith with God knowing it is but a stage on the journey and that God is leading me on safely. He knows (appoints) our sorrows and hears our cry, He will deliver at His appointed and set time, for He appoints according to His own purpose and delivers according to His own promise! Praise His Glorious Name that deliverance is on its way for His compassions fail not and He is my hope.
Great Sermon! Good exposition my dear brother. I'm presently preaching through 1 Peter on Sunday mornings and will cover this verse on this Lord's Day.
Bless you in your faithful work in our Lord's vineyard.
Great Sermon! Stuck in a cul-de-sac and all I can do is wait upon the Lord for deliverance; but as a believer it is exciting to trust Him and see how He will be pleased to outwork His providence, to His own Glory!
Thank you for such an encouraging word.
and call upon me in the day of trouble:
I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me
Great Sermon! Thank you for this message. I am going through a very hard time at work, and although the accusations against me are false, being the sinner that I am, I provided some ammunition against myself. My situation is described in Psalm 64. I appreciate and am grateful for this message, plus to GOD who led me to it.
