Interesting I am presently studying 1 Corinthians 13:12 and have chosen to look at all the preachers on SermonAudio who have preached on this particular verse.
I wasn't sure what to expect from Pastor Criss, but found him to be quite interesting in his teaching of this verse. Overall, it was applicable.
During the sermon I was taken back several times to Henry Mahan and his style of preaching and smiled, remembering.
There were several points that I did disagree with Pastor Criss on. One of the more important points was when we come before Christ; I believe that we will have no more remembrance of this place, hence our tears being wiped away. Yes, now we speak as children, that is true. But when we get there, this will cease to exist in our minds and only Christ and his infinite beauty and glory will be our only focus.
Well done Pastor Criss, the Lord used you well.
THE GOSPEL!!!!!!!! Brother Fisher,
This is the first occasion I have had to listen to your messages. I have been so blessed by it, by GODS grace!! Multitudes today place all their hopes in the performance of their churches forms and ordinances, their church attendance, and work. So many under the bondage of the law. How blessed we are to be at liberty, awashed in the blood of CHRIST JESUS OUR SOVEREIGN LORD!! We do strive to be obedient children, yet we know, by the work of the HOLY GHOST, we cannot ever perform anything that can recommend us to a HOLY GOD!! Praise HIM, that HE has revealed in us our guilt, and our total inability, and also that HE has caused us to believe, and look to the only ONE who can!!! It is a great comfort to know that there are preachers of the gospel of GODS DEAR SON, worldwide, that declare THE GOSPEL, as set forth in HOLY SCRIPTURE!!! May the GOD of all grace uphold you, and keep you as you declare HIS glorious word!!!
'...none but Zion's children know.' Dear Angus and all our brothers and sisters in Nowra, We loved hearing the wonderful Newton hymn, sung as a sort of interlude in your message (Olney Hymnal 66 on Isaiah 33:5-24) How do we find strength renewed, weariness dispelled and courage to go on enlarging? By remembering Him Who died that we might live and by recalling His promise to carry us home at last. "Savior, if of Zion's city I through grace a member am; let the world deride or pity, I will glory in Thy Name. Fading is the worldling's pleasure, all his boasted pomp and show; solid joys and lasting treasure, none but Zion's children know."
Great Sermon! Hello brother Allan, I have been blessed beyond measure by the sermons that our God has given you to proclaim to His children. I have listened to five messages since yesterday! I thank our God for men as you who have been taught of God to boldly proclaim the Gospel, for there is no grey area or compromising with the Gospel. Only the true Gospel and the 'gospel' of the god of this world. I pray that our Heavenly Father will bless you in bodily strength even as your soul prospers until the end!
