Deeply Comforting and Reassuring Do not pass this sermon up if you find yourself feeling weary and abandoned by God. Yes, Christians really do feel abandoned by Him at times when He is silent. Thanks to SermonAudio I searched for messages on Psalm 13 that I had been reading. After experiencing overwhelming trials for some time, I lost mys sense of logical thinking and grew extremely weary wondering if the Lord had abandoned me and asking "how long, O Lord, how long" will you be silent at my tears and pleadings? As a result, I began to ruminate on regrets over real (and perceived) mistakes made.
This sermon came at the right time. After listening several times in a 24-hour period, it has been a Balm of Gilead to my weary soul and spirit and brought comfort as I heard Dr. Barnett speak the truth with sensitivity and compassion.
The intro in itself is powerful but the whole thing must be heard to fully get the entire message. It is filled with hope and reassurance.
Thank you Dr. Barnett. I will do as David did - "look up" - not focus on the regrets [or cause] and will trust Him to 'pilot' me through this painful time knowing He has not abandoned me and is working it all out for my good and His glory. In that I put my hope. Sincere blessings to you, Dr. Barnett.
Enlightening Sermon! This is a powerful sermon that gave me great insight and a new understanding about unexpected deaths and destructions that most people will not accept, appreciate and do the necessary thing -- repent as Jesus Christ keeps telling all the people. You are still alive and others are dead, so will you repent and be prepared for anything unforeseen? That's the fullest answer for understanding any tragedy and make any sense from it. Great explanation.
Moving Sermon! This sermon really gave a strong message that can put us under conviction and be a blessing also. When we realize how much Jesus Christ gave to give us salvation, it's difficult not to feel that we're doing so little to permit the Holy Spirit direct us, and then we see how patient God is and forgives us for our shortcomings. We truly have a loving God and Brother John does an excellent giving us a detailed presentation.
Exquisite! And I'm not even married. But if I were or if I am to be this is a perfect model of a Godly Husband. Single people can also benefit from this as many of the principles can be applied to our relationship with the The Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for your ministry Pastor.
Guilty. Guilty.Guilty. I'm guilty of all 100. Where do I start ? I will arise and go to my Father! Please pray for me. Thank you. Humble yourselves not Humble others. What a distinction thank you kindly.
