“ Great Sermon! ” This sermon exposes how we create romantic or fantasy visions of how our life should be based on "snapshots" and "trinkets" we take from the lives of others. Only by being sober minded and seeking God for wisdom and grace in our real life circumstances can we know and serve God.
Be quick to trust God's sovereignty in painful and bewildering circumstances and do not try to escape by envy of others or by thinking thinking this is all a mistake or by doubting that God is in control of all the details.
“ Great Sermon! ” This was both a convicting and a restorative sermon. I am now what would be termed a long termed unemployed person. I often feel disoriented and at a loss for direction and purpose. The temptation is often to be irritable and unkind. I really felt while listening to this sermon that in God's economy that to focus on and labor to be kind in the Spirit and wisdom of the Lord is in its self a meaningful calling while one waits on the Lord for other direction.
“ Great Sermon! ” This is a powerful and practical sermon. I like the term this pastor uses that is unique to him: He frequently says "dusty" to refer to the nuts and bolts of earthly living as a saved person. So I would say this is a wonderfully "dusty" sermon.
“ Thank you. ” Wonderful sermon on the (new) covenant mystery. The whole of the New Testament is clear on this teaching yet a stumbling block prevents many from grasping this great Christ-exalting truth in this "dispensation".

“ Great ! ” this totally blew apart my man centered world, this is the sort of God centered message that is so rare in the christian mainstream today, thanks Derek, your love for Christ and his church is so obvious
