Great Sermon! This is the best explanation I have heard on this topic to date..
In this age of charismatic delusion, this sermon is just so brilliant, and ought to be turned into a book.
Many thanks and Gods blessing to the preacher, I've held this position on 1 Cor 13 for a long time, but I had not considered all the arguments for the position. I had only came to the healing as a gift being available in heaven as a means to disprove the error, which I am delighted and very satisfied is one of the lesser arguments to disprove the charismatic / pentecostal heresy which has such a strong hold in my family and my city.
Thank you Pastor Chris Strevel, and God bless you richly for your efforts. This sermon is really brilliant!!
Great Sermon! Dear Pastor, Thank you for your wonderful message. It is rare to find the anointing that balances the wrath and the mercy of God. I fear God with you. I also love and adore Him and hate to grieve Him even thru ignorance. God bless you, your family and church
In Christ alone
Great Sermon! This is an encouraging and convicting sermon about serving our Lord Jesus Christ in all stations, in all circumstances. May we be more chained to Him to serve Him with more diligence.
Good study. Good study. Pelagius depicted as a moralist teacher, is a philosopher. Augustine is saturated with Scripture. Good presentation of the errors of Pelagius and the Scriptural response of Augustine.
5th sermon on my odyssey ! Wonderful sermon, bringing before us Gods goodness, and his patience and longsuffering towards the children of Israel, with lots of practical application for our own times and covenent...our stubborness and unfaithfulness, does not stop the ways of providence. Thankyou Pastor Streveli am on an odyssey of listening chronologically to a sermon from each book of the Bible by a speaker i have havent heard before. O,how i am being blessed by this...it is so exciting !
Bless you again Sermonaudio for such a wonderful website...Praise the Lord !
Great Sermon! This series on the book of Deuteronomy is wonderful. As the church slips into further declension, the truths that are expounded on here are guaranteed to get all of us through the tough times ahead. May God raise up more men like Pastor Strevel who aren't afraid to speak the Lord's words with faithfulness, boldness and without compromise. Thank you SermonAudio for the awesome RCUS sermons that are here! Praise the Lord for that Church work and its pastors!
What all of us need to hear!! The truth could not be more plain. Just as he mentioned in the sermon about light shining in the darkness and the darkness fleeing there is a sense of being refreshed and cleansed from hearing the simple truth. Of all the guilt on our sinful hearts it is great to know we can flee to Christ our Redeemer and flee the wrath that we deserve. I gave this sermon to a friend of mine the same day and hope he enjoys as much as I did.
A Bold and Powerful Message All I can say is thank you, Pastor Strevel for being willing by God's grace to preach His Word with so much faithfulness. While it is good for us to reflect on God's holy and righteous judgement on America's soil with this hurricane, we need to be more concerned with our submission to Christ's Lordship and our repentance. We need to quit blaming blacks, whites, the President, the gays, etc., and we need to look at our own hearts and at the little things we do every day when only God can see us. It's easy to see the darkness in others, so that we don't have to deal with our own sin. We need individual humility before the throne, and before the whole counsel of God that cuts to the marrow. Keep up the fantastic preaching!
Great Sermon! Thank you for this timely message!
May God have mercy on our poor, weak nation...
Instead of turning to the "almighty dollar" for relief, we should be calling
for a national repentance, and a turning from sin and a turning back to God and the Bible!
What a Blessing! Thank you for all of your encouragement in this message! This is a wonderful sermon with reminders for Christians of all ages and walks of life. I appreciate the simple biblical and spiritual thread throughout your message - that our battle is spiritual, and that God's promises are stronger than all the different ways that wickedness manifests itself! Thank you for your many uplifting sermons. I wish your family and ministry much fruitfulness.
