“ Great Sermon! ” Dear Bro. Brian,
Thank you so much for the excellent sermon on modesty! It is probably the best on the subject I have heard to date. It is a very difficult subject to approach and you did so with grace and love....and CLARITY! So many times specifics are not dealt with, sometimes leaving women room to "wiggle". So, I thank the Lord for burdening your heart to preach a message that is far too ignored in our churches.
“ Great Sermon! ” Outstanding sermon! I like how you said there is a process of putting off and putting on...well said! (Putting on Christ!) Amen that God does not save us to leave us where we are but to conform us to the image of Christ! :) Brian, I have always known that God's timing is so very perfect, and His timing for me listening to this very message was absolutely perfect for me. And...I am not just saying this to flatter you, this is one of of the most powerful sermons I have ever heard! Thank you and God bless!
“ Good application of truth to Internet world ” Not only is the truth about purity in this passage clearly expounded, but the sermon also draws a practical, useful application for people living in today's Internet world which is radically different from Bible times, but the same truth still applies.
“ Worth a look... ” No matter where you stand on this issue, this presentation and the PDF is worth an open-minded look because it is well done and concisely summarizes several important aspects of the issue. A full review is beyond what can appear in a short comment, but all of the points are valid and point to the fact that the TR advocates basically beg their own question through their reasoning process, and use selective evidence to support their own assertions. The PDF highlights some of the processes of reasoning that are used, making it very interesting.
