Great Comfort and Challenge to Believers! This entire series on Ruth by Rev. Ivan Foster is such a blessing, and every one of the messages would be profitable to a believer to hear!
This message particularly struck me - especially toward the end, when the dear brother makes it clear that we are to rest in the work of Christ for our sanctification.
Well might we say with Naomi that "the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day."
We must lay all duty upon Christ to perfect us and present us faultless before Him with exceeding Joy!
Hallelujah, Christ has done all things well!
Blessed sermon. This is a very blessed message. Especially the first point touched my heart. It is of no great use to know intellectually many correct things about the Lord Jesus, if He is not the King of my life and the Him whom my soul loves. This thought humbles me.
Challenging Sermon! "Lord it is my chief complaint
That my love is weak and faint,
But I love Thee and adore,
Oh for Grace to love Thee more!"
Agreed what was said about Facebook and social media. It doesn't sit well with those who seek to emulate the meekness of Christ and Moses.
Great warning. Very good message about the most important thing in our life. Listening to this sermon I thought how it would apply this principle to ministers of the Gospel: "For what shall it profit a minister of the Gospel, if he shall gain the applauses of the whole world or of all preachers, and lose his usefulness toward his Lord Jesus Christ?"
Great Sermon! I enjoyed the presentation of the theme in question. Quite often the Christian parent fails to perceive the need of valid Christian education because the understanding, and preferences are conditioned, shaped and molded by the humanistic values the media conveys. The core of Christian education rests on the development of thinking patterns anchored in revealed truth. This in turn will determine and foment distinctive appreciations, custom, habits, attitudes, dress code and separation.
Einstein reckoned madness consisted of "repeating the same things many times the same way but expecting different results". This can be said of the evangelical population that still considers Christian education an option or the job of an educational institution. There have been two generations lost to the world in the past four decades and yet the average evangelical fails to perceive it. By repeating the same mode, we will keep reaping the same results!!
An uplifting and encouraging message This Spirit led message is packed with doctrine and leaves one in NO doubt whatsoever that the Lord Jesus Christ IS definitely Coming back.
We know where, but not when; His Day cannot be afar off. Rev Foster expounds the Scriptures pertaining to this great epoch and the difficulty regarding Mark 13.32, which I have read many times, but not really understood, until today.
A MOST profitable 67 minutes.
