Great Sermon! Pastor Greer, I believe with a careful word study that in Isa. 7:3, Ahaz was standing on the same spot, being taught the same lesson, the LORD will provide. Ahaz had all that he needed in the promises of God, and God would provide.
Thank you for this reminder once again.
Great Sermon! Though thrust upon you unexpectedly at a late date to stand in for another due to illness, still a very good sermon. (Guess God's divine providence!). I was blessed and encouraged. I appreciate the teaching on the word fail. That will stay with me. Also, I had not known about the difference in words thee and you with the singular and plural applications. Glad to know that. Thank you Bro. Greer.
WOW. STOP RECITING YOUR WORRIES. TRUST JESUS. NOW. I skirted this sermon for years because I knew it would change me...and it has.
Simply...you will suffer in this world...there is simply no way around this.
Simply....TRUST JESUS.....tell HIM everything. STOP RECITING YOUR WORRIES ENDLESSLY. TRUST JESUS. THEN LEAVE IT THERE.

Sadness and repentance. Sad consequences of playing with sin, of being disobedient to God! Blessed be God for the turning point to good in Naomi's life. I liked very much the idea that she didn't turn to go to Israel because there was harvest, but because she heard that God visited the land. She wanted to be where God is.
Great deception. Good argumentation, showing that Satan will seek to immitate the works of God, especially the apostolic signs and miracles, his end being to convince people about his teachings, in which he contradicts the Bible.
Playing with sin. Blessed warning about the danger of playing with sin, with a "little" sin, as sometimes we call it. But going out from the will of God has always serious consequences. It was a blessed message for my soul.
Great study. I found many useful things in the study of these things in this message. There are great lessons for us in the warning from Deuteronomy 13:1-5, in which God tests the discernment and the love of His people Him.
