I couldn't agree with you more. I've listened to many of Rob Bell Nooma videos (even the "bullhorn guy" one) and come away realizing that he preaches a completely different gospel. As does Rick Warren and so many other influential "preachers" today. Last night I wrote a 4 page email to one of my old pals who attended a church with me years ago. He has embraced a social gospel, and I rebuked him for that and told him that the problem in the church today is not that people are unloving and unwilling to help the poor, but that men are ashamed of the gospel (Rom 1:16). They are afraid to call people to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. They are afraid of the "folly of the cross" (1 Cor. 1:18). And in so doing, they preach a gospel that isn't complete and has no power to regenerate lost sinners.
