Don't fear them; don't ACT out of fear; don't vote for or against anybody out of fear of them. NO IDOL delivers what you want it to deliver. The politicians in America are offering you broken & failed idols. Both sides are offering programs that have been tried before. God sits above the Circle of this Earth, in full control; He sets up OR removes politicians without batting an eye. He can make powerful men weak & important men meaningless. When HE wants them off the scene, He merely blows them away. Their evil can only last a short time before it's relegated to history books. So beloved, DON'T worry about Obama or Romney as if they control your future. Christianity isn't meant to be a cafeteria line religion, picking and choosing what you like. Living by God's Word alone isn't always easy, but it's always right. His message is why he is one of the great preachers of our time. If only Christians would take to heart what Isaiah 40 has to say. If only Christians would live by faith and not by fear. If only Christians would renounce their pragmatic excuses and vote biblical principles instead. I totally agree with Pastor Morecraft that whoever wins Tuesday's election is a sign of God's curse upon this land. Pastor Joe does an excellent exposition of the text and lets the Scripture speak for itself. Everyone should hear this whole series but this one in particular is a great help. Leave behind all the nonsence of pre-tribulation eschatology and the rapture and detox from the bad doctrine that has infected so many churches over the past 50 years. Joe Morecraft III 1 comment “ Great Sermon! ” Pastor Morecraft, I listened to your sermon on presumptive regeneration about 3 months ago. Ever since then I have been mulling over what you said. I have done a great amount of Scripture research and have looked over the Reformed Confessions and catechisms. I have also sought out relevant passages in some of the key figures of Reformed theology (Knox, Calvin, Ursinus, de Bres, Beza, Zanchius, Witsius, etc). I rejoice to say that I was pleasantly surprised to find so much support for what you had to say. Your sermon was convincing, but I wanted greater assurance. As parents, my wife and I are very encouraged knowing that we can trust in God’s covenant promises to us and our family. Our daughters were baptized and we are catechizing them trusting God to use this to strengthen that work of grace which He has already begun in their little hearts. As I said earlier, I listened to the sermon about 3 months ago. Ever since then, I have wanted to write you and thank you for teaching what is certainly a most neglected truth. Thank you so much.
