The heart of the gospel! This is such an excellent presentation on the heart of the gospel-justification through faith alone in Christ alone. For believers, this is a great reminder of God's grace towards and the importance of the gospel message. This is also a great message to pass on to someone who isn't saved.
Great Sermon! This is a good sermon for knowing the key to life, especially experiencing 'overcoming life'. Our ambition to 'know Him', has to be top priority over all other ambitions. Listen to this and pray for God to do this in us and in others who may be in difficulty. This is the secret to victory in this world. "Oh that I may know Him" and keep on doing so until the Day. Great preaching...thank you Lord.
Gospel-centered Sanctification "It (sanctification) is the outcome of a thinking process and specifically the outcome of a thinking process about salvation. It is a right understanding of the gospel…"
What a refreshing gospel-centered sermon on Christian growth! I would encourage beleivers to listen to this sermon if you are struggling with your sanctification...it is a great reminder of who we are in Christ!
Great Sermon! Fantastic sermon...very motivating. As always, I am challenged by RC sermons to examine myself in light of the scripture. A sheep/goat sermon of sorts. Very good reminder on common grace vs. effectual grace of God. How bad do we want to hear from our Lord "well done"? The answer to this will be evident in our effort to be pleasing to Him. This is a great listen and I pray for God to work this in us/me.
Great Sermon! The Lord greatly used this sermon in me! I praise the Lord for using Pastor Richard by preaching such truth in love to his congregation! Thank you Lord for your truth faithfully be preached every time the doors are open!
Great Sermon! This was an excellent sermon: This was not only biblical teaching for the married, but for the non-married, or those thinking of marriage. Sensitive issues were dealt with in a kind, sound, biblical manner: That dealt with godly integrity, humanity and purity.
This Sermon Encouraged Our Hearts My wife and I were home keeping our grandchild this morning and joined this sermon live. It blessed our hearts and encouraged us in the Lord and the truth of His Word. I was able to visit Founder's in Spring, Texas for an evening service in 1994 on the way to Dallas. We are very thankful for the ministry of Pastor Caldwell and the good folks there in Spring.
Thankfully, Rev. Caldwell's sermon series through Ephesians for 2001 is available in its entirety on SermonAudio.com. If this sermon blessed your heart as it has ours, we would encourage you to page back to March 2001 and listen to that teaching.
Start with "Chosen For Blessing" preached from Ephesians 1:4-6 on March 18, 2001. It now has over 2,000 downloads and is a sermon that the Lord will use in your life to encourage your heart as He has used it to bless us for years! Pastor Caldwell takes us back, and back, and back - all the way to before the foundation of the world to expound the glories of God's amazing grace. Left even this Presbyterian shouting God's grace!
There is a two part sermon on Ephesians 1:7 [The Riches of God's Grace - 4/1/2001] that is must listening, and the following two part sermon on Ephesians 1:7-9 [The Knowledge Grace Brings - 4/8/2001] is both powerful and enlightening.
Great Sermon! amen, great sermon on the ONE BAPTISM that matters most. Being baptized into CHRIST by faith and this is what water baptism pictures. The death burial and ressurrection unto new life. And then he even touches on the atonement and how all that adam represented were effected by the fall(every human) and likewise everyone represented by CHRIST are effected by HIS atonement(all who believe).
Great Sermon! Powerful exhortation to submit to the word of God. Very practical to apply and understand. Excellent teaching on tongues(listen to previous sermon too) if you need to understand this gift and its time and intention. I really grow in wisdom listening to Richards sermons. Thanks pastor
Just What I Needed to Hear I went to a club with a friend of mine the night before and noticed that my thoughts were not pure. While having impure thoughts is never good for one's soul, it feels even worse when your girlfriend is in Chile and you don't know when you'll get to see her again. This sermon really helped me maintain my faithfulness, not physically because that's not a problem, but mentally and spiritually.
Great Sermon! Great exposition on difficult verse that culminates this section of Tim 2:8-15. I always come away from RC's sermons, challenged to believe the Bible. Underneath every message is 'am I going to believe what the word says, that its the truth, and therefor live it out in my life'. I love his emphasis on our need for God's grace in order to live according to God's design. A lot of my failure to live out his word is due to my fleshly efforts. I need to pray daily for God to empower me, so his rule can be my life. Thank you pastor RC.
Great Sermon! This is another one of those 'repeaters' ie. its good to hear this again and again. Great reminder of who we are approaching when we come before our King, whether in prayer, worship, or walking daily in our life. I thank God for men like pastor Caldwell, a man who teaches and preaches the truth about God and his word.
Great Sermon! What is God like? Look to the Son. He is the exact representation of his being. Read the gospels and study Jesus. He is the way truth and life to knowing God. How I need to be reminded of this again and again! Richard is a great teacher/preacher of God's word.
Very Careful Analysis This exposition of Matthew 12 and what constitutes the unpardonable sin is as accurate as any I have ever heard. It is very well done. Since this week I am trying to assist a poor doubting Christian who thinks he has committed this sin, this is another weapon in my argument arsenal. I believe A. H. Strong's comments in his Systematic Theology on "the Sin of Final Obduracy" p, 650 has added a lot of light on this subject, and yet I have found that it is a marvelously hard thing to convince melancholy saints that the very fact that they are trembling at these warnings shows that they are not of the mindset of those who attributed Christ's miracles to the devil. But so strong a fortress does the enemy of our souls have with misunderstandings of these warnings, he is exceeding loath to let go of his grip on troubled minds. Also recommend William Guthrie's chapter on this subject written in 1668, The Christian's Great Interest.
Great Sermon! Very encouraging sermon for me in my ministry to others. I like pastor's point early on that scripture is simple yet inexaustible...we never should feel as though we've 'arrived' in the Christian life. I am thankful for that. God's word is such a treasure, and causes me to desire our Lord more and more.
