“ Reconsidering Lewis. ”
From the time I wrote my first comment to this message I reconsidered CS Lewis and saw that he was influenced by Liberal teaching, evolutionism, Catholicism, that he was not an evangelical. If you do not want to post my new comment, please delete my former also.

Re the olivet discourse. This appears to me quite a preturist interpretation of this chapter and real interesting- the only snag is verse 27... Did I miss something ????

“ Great Sermon! ”
Lots of thoughts about taxes and government and I actually am proud that I pay my taxes and contribute to the society that I live in...but you are spot on regarding the government being the biggest beneficiaries of public money- in uk we had this mad thing happen- we had devolution whereby huge amounts of public money are lost to local government ( used to be just fine to have central government) then almost simultaneously we had the European parliament. Do you know we can't even have absolute jurisdiction in our own country any more because of European courts over ruling us. Lots of people making lots of money out of taxes....a bit like the roman empire !

The Parable of the Tenants

“ Great Sermon! ”
I love the way that Eric preaches this- he asks loads of interesting questions as he preaches ( often things that I want to ask myself). It makes his preaching very engaging and I think he has a spot on take of this parable.

Are You Too Busy?
Hal Brunson, Ph.D.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is such a good message for young Christians especially. We need to be ruthless making time for god and stopping ourselves beating to the drum of the world that makes life ever more busy. Great sermon !

Sermon:
Charismatic Calvinists, Part 5
Hal Brunson, Ph.D.

comment
“ Great Sermon! ”
I listened to all 5 messages in two sittings. I especially benefited from the more complete understanding of the 2 Old Testament prophesies (Joel, Isaiah) and how each part of 1 Corinthians 12-14 fits what I had thought of in bits and pieces over the years. Thank you for packaging it all together for a more thorough understanding of proper worship, and what is and is not Biblical teaching on languages. (tongues) I would note that the HCSB translates the word languages which agrees with several of your points. I keep telling my charismatic friend that his experiences are clouding him and preventing him from sound hermeneutics, but he just copies Greek passages down and then tells me what he believes (ignoring the full context that you thoroughly explained in your 5 message teaching on the passages.) We must pray for them to understand and that God will open their understanding of these things.

“ A Needed Rebuking Sermon! ”
Come now, you "sovereign grace" charismatics and New Calvinists who call Pentecostalism or Charismaticism a "secondary issue", why stop short? Go into snake handling (abusing the text of Mark 16), like the West Virginia false preacher did just recently, who handled a timber rattler which struck him dead! If you cannot claim this miracle is for you, consistent with your erroneous teaching (instead of merely of the apostles, e.g. Paul, who had extraordinary offices and gifts as New Testament prophets), then none of the charismatic gifts are for you either. So don't stop with tongues, dreams, or prophesies and so-called "healings", go ahead, pick up the vipers too if you dare! Or else, be rebuked and cease your false teaching. John McArthur should know better who wrote one of the best refutations in Charismatic Chaos long ago, yet continues to join hands as if a "secondary matter." Jesus warned that false teachers would indeed do real apparent miracles in his name, cast out demons, but will still be told to "depart" in the end into perdition. Everyone else should "stand back" from these Korahites, who desire Egyptian magical acts.

“ Great points. ”
This message consist in the reading of a fragment of a sermon by B.H. Carroll. Very good points on Baptist distinctives, which I believe are Biblical distinctives.
