Great Sermon! While listening to this message the hearer needs to check to see if their mouth is hanging open ! The church needs this kind of preaching more than ever . Thank you pastor , we love you !
The full council of God I do believe that many are deceived in our midst in these last days. But I have yet to hear a preacher talk about Lot being justified or about those who are saved as so by fire. In Psalm 40:3 we are told,"... many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord. Matthew 7:13-14 tells us few are on the narrow way. Matthew 8:11 says, " many will come from east and west and sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:30, "But many who are first will be last and the last first." Acts 4:4 tells us many heard the words and believed. Acts 9:42, "... many believed on the Lord." Acts 12:12, "...many were gathered together praying." Acts 14:21, "... and had taught many.." Acts 17:12, "Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few." Romans 5:15, "...and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many." Romans 5:19, "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." Read Romans 8:29, 12:4-5, 2 Cor 6:10, Hebrews 2:10,
Warning! Quoting Pastor Downs, "By the way, there's a warning. When you read the Word of God you better be reading it to be changed. Don't just read it just to do a Bible study. Don't read it just to put together a sermon. As you're reading it; it's like 'this is God's Word to me', first, before I share it with you. I've got to be transformed by this. I've got to be moved by this. I've go to be fired up by this. I've got to be grabbed by God's Word." AMEN! Greatly appreciate the passionate preaching from this pulpit and commend others to the expositional teaching.
A Fiery Sermon! I think it was Abraham Lincoln who said, âI donât like to hear cut-and-dried sermons. No, when I hear a man preach, I like to see him act as if he were fighting beesâ! Believe me, President Lincoln would have rejoiced to hear this message, because that is exactly what this sermon is - A fiery sermon on what âSalvationâ or the âGood Newsâ is all about. A sermon that would bless the heart of the Father as well as the babe in Christ, and most certainly would be a blessing to the heart of all Godâs elect who are yet to have their hearts opened (Act 16;14).
Pastor Downs labours from every angle to establish how that salvation is by grace and grace alone and all the glory due is only to the triune God! He puts both the religionist and the wicked sinner in their rightful place that - is in the dust! A wonderful sermon exalting the sovereign grace and mercy of God.
The sermon stretches for a good hour and an half, but trust me you wonât fall asleep like Eutychus did (Act 20;9). And if you have someone in mind that needs to hear the Gospel in laymanâs terms, then this is the best message you can have them listen to. Even after hearing this sermon folks donât get it, then neither will they be persuaded though one rose from the dead!
Great Sermon! Powerful message. This message really ministered to my life as we sometimes get caught up in religiosity and forget to ask God to shows what are the real motives we do certain things. May the Lord continue to bless Pastor Downs. Your messages always make me want to serve God even more and repent everyday.
Great Sermon! Thank you Pastor. David Downs for educating us from the books of Joshua. We are privileged to learn from new book i.e. Book of Romans. I am sure lot of hidden things will come out from you to the people. I know that you spend for each message for 48 hours which is bringing great light to the people all over ther world. Amen. Bless you
Compelling & Humbling! Pastor Downs exhibits a passion for preaching and teaching of the Scriptures. I have listened to many of his sermons and have been convicted, encouraged and compelled to share the gospel. Even though I have read Matthew 15:21-28 many times, Pastor Downs was able to shed more light on this most touching interaction between the Canaanite woman and Jesus Christ. Oh, how the Lord wants us to bow down and exhibit such faith as this woman does ... if only we would humble ourselves!
Great Sermon! What a wonderful and Challenging message for the Christ body. Yes we need to resist the satan rules in the churches. Pastor. Dave you taught lot of things to learn and teach to the people in India. Thank you so much for the great word from the Lord to the people in the special manner.
