Great Sermon! Remember that circumcision is mandatory not only for the children of Israel but for Muslims too. Besides all that they are those who choose to be circumcised for health reasons. For Judaism the custom of having circumcision is to have it on the 8th day, a day where blood clot fastest in babies n healing wld be the swiftest. So it does not fall under human rights issue.
Great Sermon! I would like to ask brother MacArthur if honestly how he would feel about him having no basis for criticizing John Hagee and Jack Van Impe. Most anti dispensationalist would say that and I would disagree with that. So long as John attempts to be faithful to the Word as I believe he sincerely attempts, he will always have a basis for criticism of Hagee and Van Impe. In the same way, John Piper has a basis for his criticism of the Word of Faith and Third Wave Movement so long as HE ATTEMPTS TO BE FAITHFUL TO THE WORD. Just another example of justifying HASTY GENERALIZATIONS. We really need to stop this and start more theological dialogues with men like Piper which whom I disagree with on the issue of tongues.
What does the bible say about aliens? The problem is not immigration or "illegals". The problem is welfare. The bible does not authorize the state to give health care or welfare. We should focus on getting our government to operate the way God instructed instead of being preoccupied with deporting people. If we eliminate these programs, then we won't have problems with people abusing the system- alien or otherwise.
The bible gives us good instructions on how to treat the alien and it does not involve automatic, routine deportation. Deuteronomy is a good place to start.
Good sermon Good sermon and searching texts to study! It was good insofar as it went. Really just scratched the surface of what is fully implied and applicable to the apostate condition we see all around us. But still a significant starting point.
Great Sermon! What's the problem? Article #7 in the Statement of Faith (every broadcaster had to agree upon) reads as follows...
"We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Jesus Christ and cherish every Scriptural expression of that unity. However, we reject the unscriptural attempts at church union by such organizations as the World Council of Churches and Evangelicals and Catholics Together."
Friday! The sermon that J'Mack is giving is the final sermon given to close the Conference which was on friday....The sermon on sunday is called..."An Appeal To Charismatic Pretenders"....just giving you a heads up..
Great Sermon! I for one did follow the conference and that's exactly what I got out of it. MacArthur needs to be held to the same standards as everyone else. He can't make broad sweeping statements one minute and then say something else the next. As Christians we can't talk out of both sides of our mouth. I don't like charismatics either, and I like the spirit of the conference,b ut MacArthur wad flat out wrong in the way he handled this conference. You can't say that piper is a brother one minute and then say that the charismatic movement has done nothing for the body of Christ the next. It's just wrong and people need to call MacArthur out on it
Great Sermon! Great sermon! The Purpose-Driven Life? The Purpose-Driven Death is more like it. Your Best Life Now? Depends on your point-of-view. People who focus on the eternal don't consider their lives in this world their best life now.
Great Sermon! There are 2 sides to this story. I feel the info we have so far re: this situation is incomplete. BTW, I believe Mark D. is a true servant of The Lord. His Biblical sermons, etc. back this up.
