Great Sermon! The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom - Psalm 111:10. Since it is the "beginning" is it not appropriate for terrible sinners like those in Nineveh? Those who are taking their first steps of repentance. They have not yet heard of Christ's love. If they heard of it, they still were not at the stage they KNEW it as their own possession. Adam and Eve hide from God, because they knew they had sinned. Sinners should be afraid of a Holy and righteous God. Does Scripture speak specifically about a child-like vs. a slavish fear? Is not the difference just that God gives grace to some? That grace sanctifies the fear of the saints. Is not that fear similar to the "mourning" Christ speaks of in Matthew 5, that is blessed? One day there will be no more "mourning" or fear - Revelation 21:4-5 Yet both have their place in the hear and now. The Problem of the sinners in Proverbs 1 and in Noah's day was their "fear of God" was too late! They did not fear preaching or wisdom crying in the street. They were not like the Ninevites who feared from the start, from as you said "the first sermon." No they heard again and again, and the very preaching they may have "feared" a bit at first, no longer impacted their hardened hearts. They learned how not to fear, without repentance.
Great Sermon! This message is an absolute must hear. Dr. Murray leaves no doubt as to the only two paths. One to eternal life and the other to eternal destruction. No middle of the road or third way. He pours out his heart and soul pleading for men everywhere to seek the Lord and enter in at the strait gate which is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you are on the broad way it is by your choosing. I was blessed by this sermon and made to make my calling and election sure.
Great Sermon! Brother VanderSwaag does such an excellent job in teaching us to love like Jesus. To be a friend like Him and to be more intune to wiles of our adversary the devil. Holiness gives power to the believer. Putting off sin and putting on Jesus Christ is the only way to victory. Thank You brother for this message and the series as a whole. I have gleaned so much and it has been a powerful tool of God in my difficult walk before our Lord. I can say with Job that my Redeemer lives!
Blessed sermon A wonderful blessing indeed. Very timely personally. May the LORD our GOD grant His richest benediction to His Word, as well as to His servant who brought GOD's Word. Sincere thanks to all involved. Oh that we might be doers of His Word. Michael
Seeing Christ's loveliness. How I needed a message like this! It warmed my heart! I needed to look to the beauty of Christ, to contemplate again my loving and dying Savior! O, how blessed I am to have so a lovely Savior!

Also points out the way of escape. He gives biblical references as how to know if we are going to heaven or hell.
Thank you for this necessary, timely sermon for the times in which we live.
Great Sermon! "We will be with Christ forever, face to face, in but a few short days!!!!"
"In heaven, we will never grieve the Spirit, never fail Christ, never hurt each other!!"
"The love of heaven will NEVER grow old!! We will be HOME!!!!!"
Dr. Beeke, this sermon has changed my life. The Spirit is now active in my life as never before. Indeed, I believe I experienced an extraordinary witness of the Holy Spirit as I sat in the pew watching and listening to you preach the beauty and glory of a Christ-centered heaven. Before, I was spiritually dead, but now I am alive!! Thank you for your faithful ministry of the Word. I pray God's blessing on you, and the Spirit's working in you.
Come soon, Lord Jesus!!
Moving Depictions of God's Love! This incredible sermon helped me appreciate the love of the Father for His adopted children far more than any sermon I’ve ever heard. The depictions of the Father’s love were moving.
