You cry "proof-text" and then you do the same over and over and over. You raise up men, you use worldly institutions and man's doctrines/writings--while the same Scriptures say those who obey God are given wisdom, not those who just study them. Not that studying them is of issue, but this "refutation" is laughable... the god of Calvinism is like a fireman who sets fires to "save" people from something he did purposely(decreed) to kill others--no one in their right mind would give the fireman glory knowing the truth. "no one is righteous"--so what about Job? Noah? and the parents of John the baptist? What about Jesus' quote to come to save sinners and not the righteous? Jesus implies there are those who are righteous. You're not different than the cultic gospels you condemn.. Ah, too bad the Holy Spirit is drawing all men(John 12:32)... too bad Saul was chosen by God, given the Spirit, and then had it taken away from him to die unrepentant(there went P, 1 Sam 16). You really don't understand Romans 9 also.. it's about nations, look up the OT references to which Paul was quoting. There's no wisdom in Calvinism... But one thing though, postmillenium view also states the millenium is still in the future, and we are NOT in the millenium right now. Pastor David Downs certainly displays the heart of a shepherd as he lovingly yet firmly warns against 'Rogue Bible studies'. I am looking forward to further instalments on this issue as this is indeed an area the enemy uses to cause division ... "Obey your leaders, and submit to them; for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you." To me this would be the most deadly type of religion, this world could encounter. If there is any sermon that will encourage you to be more evangelistic its this one. Pastor Downs has truly been used by God to be bold as a lion in his expounding of God's word. Listen to this sermon then listen to it again and again. If anyone needs encouragement to stay on the Narrow path then listen to the preaching and teaching coming forth from Cornerstone Baptist Church of Orlando. This Revelation series has been heart-wrenching because Pastor Downs so vividly portrays the apostasy around us and warns any who would still want to engage in that harlotry. Thank you, pastor, for discipling others within your local flock and feeding all 'who have ears to hear' with the true Gospel that saves. We must continue to "contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." Will it be the western nations aganist the arb world or the jews verses the gentiles or the ones whom have accepted christ as their personal savior. I totally agree with the what you were on to. Yes many churches having all kind of ministries but there is no Evangelism. Yes every church need to go out and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Keep it on hand." He was serious,and my brother is a believer. After praying about this he shared me. I also took this serious, but not enough to pack a back pack.
