True Exegesis Thank you for your wonderful message. For anyone who still doubts this interpretation of scripture grab a topical Bible and revisit those familiar passages laying aside all preconceptions.
Great Sermon! Along with the past sermons regarding the idolatry of Statism, this one here has been another blessing in my life.
Whenever someone cries out "Romans 13" for even the slightest challenge to the "Sovereign State," they are essentially crying out, "We have no king but Caesar" as well.
Let me add though that I don't believe Government or the State can properly be referred to as Caesar. First, are these two vague terms synonymous? How is each defined? Or can they even be defined? See Albert Nock for more on this.
Second, just what is "the Law?" Is it possible to know? Is it black and white? Does the Lord command that believers are to obey man's grievous commandments? See Fred Rodell for more on this hocus pocus (as he calls it) "Law" stuff.
Thirdly, what exactly is a "U.S. Citizen?" Does being one require allegiance and obedience to MAN first and foremost? See James Montgomery and "the Informer" at atg press dot com for lot's of non-ear-tickling info.
Christ. The Cross. The Cost. The Blood. You won't see him on any HDTV dressed in New York's best, or sitting in a golden chair on TBN some poor widow paid for, and you won't see him standing smiling under a spinning glitter ball in a dazzling indoor sports coliseum in Houston. But you will see him, if you're there, in the paradise of his Father and God, running down every golden street barefooted there is, talking to Moses and Paul, Isaiah and Jude, and all the others, just like you. You can call him John or JW or something akin, but listen with your heart, for this is one of Christ's most loved, and best friends. What does he preach down in Georgia? Easy as pie, and what you won't hear from very many anymore anywhere. God's beloved Christ and precious Son and Him crucified in all His fullness. The blessed blood poured out for the many, that washes every soul whiter than snow. That rugged cross where He bore it all, for every sinner broken and contrite of heart. You can learn a lot from a red-dirt Georgia farm boy, even a very older one like John, but don't expect a dandy man with a store-bought diamond ring. Come just as you are, claydirt and all. After an hour and 2 amen's, walk away in glorious garments of glistening white. Just like the ones of thy Lord and King. Thy friend and cherished Christ.
Great Sermon! Thank you sir for sharing this sermon and also for standing up and sharing truth.
It is Pastors like you that will help keep God's people free, we do have to stand-up and defend our belief in Christ Jesus and defend ourselves.
More messages like this need to come from pastors, all to often we find "wishy-washy" preaching, Praise God that you are not one of them!
When Jesus comes back, He will be a Warrior King and He will not be all "warm and fuzzy"
Great Sermon! Many thanks Pastor Weaver!! Your message with regards to the Lord Jesus Christ being the Christian's rest is an awesome truth that we should meditate on daily!! One thing I must humbly disagree with, is your claim that the Hebrew 7th Day, is not the same as our "Saturday" under today's Gregorian calendar. A quick search of any Jewish website that teaches on the history & backround of the Hebrew Calendar, will refute this claim. God never commanded the children of Israel to keep the weekly Sabbath Days on specific dates (like He did with the Lord's Feast Days -- eg. the Passover is on the 14th Day Abib under the Hebrew Calender, which this year falls on March 30th AD2010 under the Gregorian Calendar), so regardless of whether there was 29 or 30 days in a month, 12 months or 13 months in a year, the days continued sequentially under the Hebrew calendar. The Jews do not have names for the days of the week (except Shabbat being the 7th Day of the week) but their days match the days which we have under our calendar today (ie. Sunday=1st Day, Monday=2nd Day...etc). Note: If God blessed and sanctified the Sabbath Day (Genesis 2:2-3), wouldn't it make plain & simple sense that He would perserve this day for His people for all ages -- a sign between Him and His chosen people in Christ?
Great Sermon! I LOVED this sermon. I am in the process of listening to the entire series. Sadly this kind of preaching is rare these days. As far as I know there are no preachers in my area that teach like this. I wish there was.
Great Sermon! Brilliant! Historical truth has been kept from many by the Establishment Historians in Amerika's "education" gulags! This is a history lesson.
The South motivations were and I agree with-
1-The inerrancy of God's Word and Lordship of Jesus Christ (vs. Man playing God via Humanism, Rationalism, Communism,Socialism, etc.)
2-Rule of law via a Constitutional Republic (vs. arbitrary draconianism via an Oligarch class that doesn't represent the Citizens)
3-Free Market System of Trade (vs. frivolous and excessive economic oppression courtesy of a Leviathan State representing special interests)
America wev'e been sucked down into the gutter by the NWO banking interest Satan worshiper Illuminati Rothschilds. This current state of government is a byproduct of the Luciferian lies of humanism, communism, and socialism.
We need an awakening-wev'e been denied the truth by so many of our societys institutions in order to help the elites enslave us all. Jesus Christ is God and the devils NWO neo-Nimrod, Neo-Tower of Babel called the NWO ran by the Bilderbergs, Rothschilds, CFR, etc. will not prevail.
As Officer Jack McLamb says on his (GCNlive.com) program-
Pray your imprecatory prayers to God that He would destroy with double destruction the anti-Christ Synangogue of Satan.
Great Sermon! Dear pastor, I thank you for your wonderful sermon. I am a missionary pastor in Nigeria. I was born in Romania and became a believer thru a crisis conversion. I am a medical doctor by profession. Since the year 2000 I am in full time ministry.
The older I get as a beliver, the more I appreciate the Word of God and the priviledge of preaching it. There is nothing on earth that compares with the wonder of being carried on by the anointing of the Holy Spirit during preaching.
God bless you, your family and church,
In Christ alone, Lia Leigh.
Great Sermon! Excellent sermon! Questions and subjects covered: What is a Holy War? What is a Just War? What are the four prerequisites in order to have a Holy War? Are all defensive wars just? Are all offensive wars evil? If you want to know what the Holy Scriptures say about the above questions, listen to this sermon.
Great Sermon! Wonderful sermon! Pastor John Weaver is a Godly Man who preaches with authority and power. I fully recommend this Biblical Warfare Series to all Christians who want to know what God teaches about war.
Great Sermon! I've listened to some twenty of Pastor Weaver's sermons and have yet to be disappointed. They have been uplifting and educational.
I met Mr. Weaver and his wife a couple of weeks ago and found them to be just as you would think from listing to his sermons;down to earth and quite engaging.
Great Sermon! Thank you pastor Weaver for this message. I'm 54 and have pretty much been taught all my life what most people have been taught, North good, South bad. Truth of the gospel is king over all truth, but we need desperately to hear historicle truth as well. Our former president Bush laid a strong foundation for the current president, No-bama, to rob us of our liberties, and worse of all blur good godly principles. Out here in the west we are kept rather ignorant of what it means to be an easterner or southerner. Thank you in all of your messages for enlightening us all with facts we would maybe never be able to get any other way than the internet. Keep Rick Warren and his trash out of the bible belt. I have only been able to find one good church out of hundreds in this area. I'm glad to say my pastor preaches with the same attitude and dedication to the gospel that you do. God Bless you and your congregation.
