Great Sermon! I am guilty, and terribly ashamed, that my love for others seem to get colder thru the years. I can only attribute it to my backsliding and my attempts to numb my emotions from nasty colleagues and the likes so that at times, if I see someone in pain, my emotions are automatically blocked to it. Do not feel bad about your feelings toward others. You are many many many many many, a zillion....more times better than I. When u talk about people in pain, I can hear your compassion and love that emanates from your heart. With regard to those like me, whose love has grown cold, only the Holy Ghost can help us regain love for one another. As for loving my enemies, that is an impossibility for me, unless I walk in the Spirit. Also, I find none of your programmes embarassing at all. They are very informative, esp when i hardly watch the telly. More important, I learn a lot about scripture from your podcasts. They help me grow spiritually. And I want to be spiritual, not carnal. With regard to talking about personal matters, I think it makes your programmes heartfelt n endearing. Bec u speak on your personal life, I feel more at ease to leave comments abt my own life. Others will no doubt feel the same too...then we can all pray for one another. |

Great Sermon! Trevor,
I have pondered the same questions about myself many times. Why am I not as compassionate as I should be? Why don't I weep over the pains and sorrows of others? Why don't I weep over my own sin? All of these questions I have asked about myself, and about other Christians. I have made it a point to try and memorize 1 Corinthians 13, but I havnt yet figured out how to transfer the truth of the love chapter from my mind to my heart. God Bless you Trevor, I can't speak for everyone else, but I consider you family, you are a brother in Christ, and have been souly responsible for changing the way I think about life, christianity, theology, everything. If you were in trouble I'd be in my car heading your way today. Because of your programs, and the programs produced by Sean Harris and his staff at Berean, my Christianity has been completely transformed. Keep up the good work. We love ya |

Great Sermon! Iregarding depression- god is sovereign. A child of god can have depression. Depression can be severe and it can cause suicide- some folks with depression are not in contact with reality. I believe that god is no way going to condem to hell a true believer that has depression and commits suicide- that's not the loving father I know. Would you human parent cut a child off because they disobeyed you when they were sick ? How much more merciful is your father in heaven ??? |
