Very serious. Hindrances: unwillingness to renounce secret sins; partial dedication of life to the Lord; disobedience to light received; impurity of motives.
Doctrine of sickness. A study in the doctrine of sickness, different motives of sickness. The disciples are interested in the problem, Jesus in the sick man. Jesus is not only talking, but acting, healing the man.
Probably not what u think. If you are like me, you listen to recordings like this b/c it has many hits on it and think it must be outstanding. However, I want good expository preaching, like Dystra (sp?) and Trapp, etc. This text was just used as a title and the sermon jumped all over the place, often mixing metaphors I would call it (using walls of Jericho to prove a point? that had no relation to the text). I write this to save others time who are looking for good exposition of a passage: explaination, illustration, and application for today. This doesn't have it, but might be what some want to hear. I would classify it under "revival" or something, but not 2 Sam 6.
Under Appreciated Sermon This sermon should be one of the top downloaded sermons on this site. It's strange how Reidhead's sermons become more poignant as time goes by.
What a serious warning! A solemn warning against this sin. This sin depicted as resistance to the Word of God, a sin against light received. Several signs of committing this sin: no fear of God, no sense of the danger of hell, no repentance of sin, no sense of need of grace, no conviction, hatred against true preaching that reveals that sin. The sinner acknowledge not his sin, so there is no forgiveness. Persistent refusal of God's mercy.
Great Sermon! I love many of the sermons. Watchman Nee is such a blessing. I'm amazed that in his so called "immature" period he wrote "the Spiritual Man" an amazing work that really helped me through a difficult time. He was blessed with incredible insight. I encourage all Christians to read & listen to as much of his material as possible. I also find it interesting that I find nothing dangerous or weird about him like one does with many preachers and teachers. He's a martyr as well, so he practiced what he preached. We should all heed his words.
Life in Christ. A message on Colossians 2:6. Salvation stands not in a decision, but in the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit renewing the man. Stressing the subjective part in salvation, the experience of Jesus. Not very clear sound - hard to listen to.
Serving God without compromise. Neemiah 6:1-4. Standing up and starting to build the Kingdom of God in your community, with a vision from God, in righteousness, without compromising with the enemy.
