Simple Truth Now the visible kingdom of God in earth, is being seized by the free will gospel people and those who bring true Gospel are silenced; persecuted; as the prophets of the old testament days were persecuted.
wierd interpretation 1Peter 3:19,20 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.The Spirit of Christ preaching to the people in Noah's time is referred, in these verses. Reference 1Peter 1:10,11
Simple Truth This is not at all a difficult verse. Paul is talking in this 1Corinthians:15 about the resurrection of the body. verse 29 says "else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?" paraphrasing the dead saints who are washed by the blood do not raise up from the dead body physically what is the use of that kind of cleansing. (baptism). This will make sense of this verse in the context of other verses.
Great Free Resources On Headcoverings! In accord with what Dr. MacArthur notes here, that headcoverings in Paul's day were a customary outward symbol (and not prescribed element of worship), which is also the position set forth in the Westminster standards, also see the detailed free study (in various free digital, print and audio formats), entitled, "THE CUSTOMARY PRACTICE OF HEADCOVERINGS: AN EXEGETICAL/HISTORICAL STUDY OF 1 CORINTHIANS 11:2-16 PRESENTED IN A SERIES OF LETTERS" by Pastor Greg L. Price at http://ow.ly/iifyF or http://www.puritandownloads.com/greg-l-price-on-headcoverings/. Review: "I must begin by thanking you for such a thorough study. The headcovering text of 1 Cor. 11 contains many difficult points and while many of our church fathers have briefly touched on the issue of customary headcovering, I am not aware of any work that has treated the subject with such clarity and breadth as yours. It is my opinion that your future book will become the definitive study on the subject. I am not aware of any error or point of disagreement by which I could take issue. I further believe the work to be grounded in scripture, faithful to the text (especially your work in Greek), and faithful to the views of the most respected church fathers." - http://ow.ly/iifyF
Great Sermon! Super sermon. But I can't help thinking preachers need to move with the times. All we seem to hear about is sodomites. What about the lesbians? A recent survey found that 23% of men have had or would consider a same-sex experience. For women it was 60%! Another study: a whopping 50% of females born in the nineties will have had a same-sex experience by the time they are 25. Shocking. You say homosexual lust is all-consuming and very powerful. Not surprising then, that we have been flooded with erotic and sensual imagery of women for decades. Satan is putting women under tremendous pressure, every other film from Hollywood seems to be a lesbian love story. Lesbian weddings out number gay weddings by up to 3 to 1 and more. This is just the beginning. Come on preachers. Save the women!
Great Sermon! Dr. MacArthur is right on target. And there could not be more greed-driven denominations than the Assemblies of God and the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Both denominations routinely sue the local churches in their denominations in order to seize their properties and bank accounts. Court case after court case is posted on our website:

GOD HAS SPOKEN LOUD AND CLEAR !! God says that marriage is binding until DEATH. It is a violation of HIS WORD to divorce and remarry. The Jews had the custom of betrothal. During that period, the man was called the husband and the woman was called his wife, though no marriage covenant had yet been established. To end a prospective marriage, a legal divorce was required. This is why the exception clause is only found in Matthew's gospel as it does not apply to Gentiles who had no such custom. The "exception" spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 19:9 means what it says--divorce is only permitted for the cause of porneia (fornication) during the betrothal as that is not putting asunder what God has joined together. After a marriage has been entered into, the only action that dissolves that covenant is DEATH. God makes that crystal clear through the writings of the Apostle Paul in Romans 7:2-3. Those who divorce and remarry are denying that their first marriage is still binding in God's sight. HE IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY on the matter, not man! And, He has further said--"...adulterers...shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God." 1 Cor. 6:9-10. Take the matter of divorce/remarriage very serious because GOD DOES!! He's a "hard-liner"!!
