It's a FAVORITE tool of the devil. And, it reaps God's judgment ! The mixing of the common with the sacred is so flagrant and rampant in today's world. We no longer have belief in and practice of biblical Christianity, except for a "remnant" who remain faithful to the teachings of The Bible. Exposing error is most unpopular work. And, only those who consider "the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt", will do it. I have experienced tremendous spiritual growth through his ministry of God's Word via SermonAudio.com. He exalts Jesus Christ, evangelizes the lost, edifies the body of Christ, encourages the believers, and equips the saints to serve. Yet, he does not set himself up to be a spiritual guru with all the answers. He would be the first to tell you that he knows himself to be an imperfect man trying to lead imperfect people to become more like our perfect Savior. I am in much prayer for this Godly man. John Wagner 1 comment “ GOD OBEYS HIS OWN RULES !! ” In the "foot-washing" that Jesus did with His disciples, there is something there that is quite fantastic -- the Maker of Heaven and earth, the Giver of the Law is shown to be subject to it! Jesus Christ, KING OF KINGS, abased Himself to the lowest level of servitude. Christ, by His actions, made it very clear that He would not expect anything from us that He was not willing to do Himself. What a "pride-buster" for man! Think on it!...there on the night of His "betrayal" was the Son of God on his hands and knees washing the smelly, dirty feet of His disciples. This amazing scene of Jesus Christ washing His disciples’ feet is a marvelous testimony to the truth that: “Whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.â€� Matthew 20:27 It's how HIS CHURCH works! Jesus said that He came, "as a physician to the sick" (Mark 2:17). Thus, He props up the broken reed and fans into flame the smoking flax. The "Bride of Christ" is assured of her bridegroom's gentleness all the way home -- "Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? ..." Jas 5:8 'Our God is a God of patience. The Lord Jesus is the great Example of patience. The Holy Spirit is the Agent producing patience. Trials, troubles, and disappointments, are the means which exercise and strengthen it. The patience required, is a disposition to bear all that God has appointed for us, without complaining; yea, with resignation and hope: to wait God's time for the mercies we need, or for answers to the prayers we put up. Patience is the daughter of faith; and it is only as we believe that God has appointed, overrules, or commands, for our good and His glory, that we can be patient....'
