Great sermon that everyone should hear! This religious generation has no knowledge of the goodness and mercy of a Sovereign God in putting forth His clear message of Christ's accomplished death at Calvary. I thank God that He was pleased to send this wonderful message my way by this man Henry Mahan nearly 23 years ago. May God be pleased to use this same message to open the eyes of His elect in every generation.
Great Sermon! Well Brother I just think It was a sincere message from the heart. which Is so powerful. I pray that many hearts will be touched, especially those that don't believe, that it will bring them to their knee's and confess there sin to our great Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. God bless you Brother.
A Cool Cup of Water Bro. Mahan, I think it right for me to confess that God has used this sermon of yours to bless me today. Truly, it has been like cool water to a thirsty man. I am a bi-vocational SBC pastor, preaching through Ephesians. I came to Eph 1:4-5 last Sunday and simply related what it clearly says about predestination and God's unmerited favor. Long story short, that sermon was not well-received! Feeling some discouragement as I prepare to preach again from the same section. Your message has been a great encouragement to me, though my heart is broken for the people whom God has placed in my charge, and the hardness of their hearts toward the idea of Grace Alone. (I had one woman after the sermon tell me that she deserves to be saved, because she made the right decisions about Christ.) Thanks again for the edification, through God's grace. Keep fighting, strong brother.
SO Pertinent! Thank God for a pastor who has the courage to preach such a pertinent sermon. We are living in days that sermons like this one need to be preached. God bless our dear Brother Tom as he continues...
Great Sermon! This is a wonderful sermon, truly of the Holy Spirit, and we thank Pastor Tom for being a true minister of the Word of God.
It thrilled our hearts and brought me to tears - so blessed was I by hearing these precious truths.
Terrifying! This should be heard by all your loved ones that don't know the Lord! It should be listened to those of us that do so that we would praise the Lord for His mercy and for saving us! What a terrifying thought to be left alone to go on to hell!
Absolute TRUTH!! This is such a truthful and precious sermon. Thank God for the truths taught and for Brother Tom Harding who teaches Sovereign GRACE. He uplifts the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work in all his preaching. Please listen for a blessing and for knowledge of the truth of Calvary.
Great Sermon! This sermon of Henry Mahan was a great blessing to us, and would recommend it to every true sovereign grace believer.
Henry does not shun to give the whole counsel of God.
Love from English Rose
helpful sermon listened to your message on a word to preachers, very blessed by the truth of many things spoken as they pertain to our present conditions. Finishing the ministry where one is and the faithfulness it takes to overcome is evidence, The Lord has blessed you!!!
Great Sermon! When a true child of God hears a man preach, he looks for two things. (1) A sermon that is rich in the Word and full of the Spirit! (2) A sermon that gives God all the glory and puts man where He belongs, i.e. in the dust! After hearing Brother Henry Mahan’s sermons for quite some time now, I have found both these expectations satisfyingly fulfilled. What makes his sermons special are that they are full of the Word and none of them are quoted out of context.
This sermon is no exception. In this sermon Brother Mahan first of all exposes the error of quoting parts of Scripture for our convenience and gives many such examples. For instance, many quote the latter part of John 6:37 ‚Äď ‚Äúhim that cometh to Me, I will in no wise cast out.‚ÄĚ And they leave out the first half of this verse, which says, ‚ÄúAll that the Father giveth me shall come to Me!‚ÄĚ The reason they do this is because the first half of this verse deals with God sovereignty in salvation and they hate that doctrine.
Not so Brother Mahan. In almost every sermon that I have listened to, he makes it a point to give God all the glory and shows man his inability to save himself. Apart from this, he does what God expects every preacher to do, i.e. not only preach the truth but expose the lie!

Strong Meat! Brother Henry Mahan starts this powerful sermon by saying that his objective in preaching this sermon is not to ‚Äėplease men or tickle their ears‚Äô[Gal1:10]. Oh that God would give us more preachers in the land who could really say this and preach likewise.
The God of the true Christian is a God that divides. You can start reading your King James Bible and even before you are through the first four verses you will notice that God is a God that divides [see Gen 1:4]. The Scriptures do not teach the Fatherhood of god and the brotherhood of all men. Christ divides! And almost all the verses that teach this is covered in this sermon.
In this sermon the preacher makes a remarkable statement that men today brag about the Reformers and kill preachers who preach what the Reformers really preached. Our Lord Jesus Christ was despised and rejected of men when He lived, and in His true character, His true attributes and His true redemption He is just as despised today by the natural man!
What caused the hatred towards our Lord? Many ‚Äėbelieve‚Äô that Christ was hated and despised but they just seem to understand why. Brother Mahan shows very clearly what it was that caused the hatred and challenges the hearer as to what his response would be to such a Jesus and such a teaching.
Great Sermon! This is a MUST hear from Henry Mahan. Its the most graphic and challenging message we have ever heard. It causes you to search your heart diligently to see whether you be in the Faith of God's elect, or just a professor!! Was your repentance truly God-given towards God, or just remorse? Have you truly been given a new heart?
You will not hear such a message from the Pulpit - except by Henry!
