Great Sermon! Brother Harold. We remember you from the early 60s. We were members of Bethel Baptist in Pasadena Texas. Brother Vergil Mayes was our pastor. You blessed our hearts then and you sound the same now. It has been wonderful to find some of your sermons on the internet.
Great Sermon! Yes, the Word of God is alive and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword. I was pierced and exposed by the truths of this word. I was challenged, inspired, and, hopefully healed and raised to a higher place of awe and devotion to Christ. Thank you, Lord.
Great Sermon! I want to express my appreciation for light from the Word of God which I received from Edward Cook's preaching this sermon. There is no substitute for light and conviction from the Holy Spirit as the Word of God is faithfully preached. Again, thank you!
Great Sermon! This is such a timely message and helps us to put the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in its true perspective. This is such a wonderful opportunity for Christians to use this movie as a way to witness about Christ.
Great Sermon! This second part to this series was just as wonderful as the first part. I really love how you explained that conversion changes you from the inside out to be Christ-like. That is so true and so wonderful really. Along with that how the Bible describes Jesus will become a reality in our lives...we will live like Christ. Awesome teachings on how one knows they are regenerated. Great job and God bless and thank you for this blessing.
Great Sermon! This was a very thought provoking sermon. I love how you put it that the Holy Spirit will reach into our hearts and lead us directly to the Cross of Christ. That was amazing! I also liked how you said that He not only died for me, but for the SINFUL me. Wow! I praise God that He is working in me to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling. Great message, Pastor Brunson. God bless.
Good sermon Good sermon on the atonement of Christ, and the words propitiation, atonement, expiation, and justification. How he shows the value of EACH of these words, and a few others. It was not necessary for him to several times demean those who are not 5 point Calvinists. However, the Scripture reads as it reads in 1 John 2:1-2, and no theologian can take away from God's word. This sermon is useful and very solid. It is also one of my favorite passages in the Bible, personally.
Interesting Sermon! Very good sermon! However, it's better to be a saved reformed Baptist than a lost Arminian.
As a former deceived Aminian myself, there was a time when I thought I was saved, but for many long years I never even heard of the doctrines of election, a particular atonement, or justification by the imputed righteousness of Christ!
There may be divisions among the reformed people - but that is because they have Life;
where there is Life, there is often strife and discord among the brethern,
but in an Arminian "cemetery" all is "at peace" and they have a "visible unity" only.
Perhaps the unity found in the Arminian camp is because they are all still in a state of spiritual death.
I would rather have Eternal Life, and be standing at the grave sites of the great reformed preachers of the past (like Luther, Calvin, Spurgeon, Edwards, A. W. Pink, etc)....who, "being dead, yet speaketh" through their books, and now even their audio sermons and lectures...than be a lost soul
who only hears Arminian preachers who are still "in the land of the living" but spiritually dead!
Great Sermon! I thank God for your unabased handling of this text. I taught from this great text a few years ago along similar lines and had a few departures that were as John says in his epistle of those "who were not of us for if they had been of us they would have continued..." Your message confirms the fact that God is raising up a holy church that He will not be ashamed to call His brethren.
Powerful and informational sermon Short but powerful sermon...very informative. I liked the way Pastor Brunson said preached the truth, and how he brought up the many martyrs who were killed because of the Roman Catholic Church.
Great Sermon! Have just listened to this Tsunami sermon - it has moved me to tears, such a powerful message and so necessary today, in this wishy-washy "christianity".
Thank you for giving it straight.
God is a consuming fire and will not overlook sin.
Yours, By His grace, Rose
