Life changing-Life Giving Sermon In my opinion, this sermon ranks up there with Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.Thank God we still have faithful men of God who preach the whole counsel of God. Your message, inspired by the Holy Spirit has inspired me, aroused me and moved me to beg people to come to Christ. Those who think they have salvation by all they do are the saddest and most to be pitied. Time for self-examination. Hell is a real place and I don't want anyone I know to spend eternity there. God bless you and your ministry.
Like I've Heard it for the First Time... Wow, thank you so much Pastor Lawson. I have been sensing a deep conviction lately of needing to tell my loved ones the truth about Jesus in the way He wants me to do it, and have been feeling unable to know how to approach this. The sermon "Saved from What?" caused such a profound sorrow, deeper than I have ever felt, a horror of what hell is, and a deeper thankfulness for what Jesus has done for me, and a burden to share the truth of this to anyone who will listen.
Thank you so much for being faithful to tell the truth according to the scriptures, and sharing what an awesome God we serve, that although we all deserve to go to that fiery place of eternal torment, He sent us His Son to pay a terrible price that we could never pay so we won't have to go there, but instead forever be with Him. Thank You Jesus for Your kindness and mercy. I pray that many will heed the warning.
SUPERB Sermon! This has to be one of the most encouraging sermons ever! Everyone at some time in their life will encounter this. This was very timely for me after being verbally attacked by a family member and some close to me, I began to wonder if I had a sign on my forehead that said "kick me." Thank you, Pastor Steve! You are a fabulous expositor and make Scripture relevant while at the same time uplifting the name of Christ, always pointing us to the One who knows our plight, Who alone is worthy and controls everything. Thank you. Thank you. May God bless you richly.
Deeply Encouraging Sermon! This was one of THE best sermons on Ps 139 I have ever heard. As always, Pastor Steve not only discusses the obvious but adds so much more insight to this passage. I have listened over and over to this - esp. when feeling like a failure.
Great Sermon! As I listened to this, particularly through the second half, I was feeling like I was drowning. Yet, I will listen to it again and again causing me to fall on my face crying out mercy mercy Lord for my unsaved loved ones. Thank you Bro. Lawson for this sermon, many others, and for your surrendered obedience in your ministry before Gos.
Puzzling Reference At 42:28 he quotes Joel 9:9 as "Behold the King". What version is he using? I've only got 3 chapters in Joel in mine. And I can't find the quote anywhere e.g. another minor prophet. It's the quote I'm after - not criticising the sermon.
Great Sermon! I thank you Bro Lawson to you and your church for hosting this conference and making yours and Bro MacArthur's wonderful sermons available to those outside the convention. I have been richly blessed. Also I love the Amazing Grace rendition by that Bro Antonio along with the accompanying violin music. Thank you.
