Powerful Sermon! Pastor Ralph does an outstanding job showing us the vast difference between truth and lies -- how the truth brings us toward God and lies take us towards sin and Satan. Lies have major consequences for ourselves and others and the hurt can be devastating. Lying can also become addictive and be totally out of control even when starting with small lies. So we must see any lie as a dangerous path to our destruction. The truth shall make us free.
Powerful Sermon! I have family members who belong to the RCC, which I also followed 50+ yrs ago.
Over 5 yrs ago, I found Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Having done much study of Scriptures, I know I'm "born again" and will be with the Lord after I die. Hearing this sermon, it breaks my heart that no Roman Catholics know the true Gospel and Christ Jesus. Studying the Scriptures daily, I keep gowing in the Lord and see how false the RCC is and how deceived are their followers. It truly is very sorrowful that they never examine the RCC themselves. It talks effort and time to know the True Gospel and accept Christ Jesus, but what a huge difference it makes when one sees the future after death -- a peaceful acceptance and understanding when you go to sleep every night. Thank you Jesus Christ for dying to give us salvation.
Wonderful Preaching Amen. What a faithful Preacher. I feel I have been save twice, once from my sins by the sacrifice of Christ, then later from the influence of apostate doctrines by the true, faithful preaching of the Gospel from Ralph Ovadal sermons.
Great Sermon! Yes, Amen, I have to say Praise God for you! I'm so glad you mentioned the martyrs we are to always pray for them and have one voice and recognize that fire is absent from our country today but if it returned? I love you brother and may Gods grace and peace be upon you and your flock,
Great Sermon! Amen!Amen!
Should be listened to by all those who defend this mans heretical and blasphemous writings.
But alas most won't ...they defend him and his heresies and turn and rend us who speak the truth!!
So sad how many are deceived and are so biblical illiterate that they would read such garbage and endorse it.
Excellent Warnings! This is worth hearing in its entirety. In regards to the multitudes that still follow John Piper and New Calvinism (yes it certainly is new, different than historic Calvinism) in particular this sheds needed light on just why their 'Desiring God' conference is so deceptive and dangerous. Let those who like C.S. Lewis attempt to refute these plain facts about the man's beliefs and teachings (through allegory aimed at children too). In regard to the Vatican issue about its political influence the same, and moreso, even stronger case could be made for AIPAC, the Israeli Lobby in Congress. Good points about Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church which while it is refreshing on the issue of homosexuality (and a contrast to the new popular Pope) it is an idolatrous institution as much as the Roman, Greek, and Coptic (Egyptian) churches all of which represent no true Christianity as taught in the Bible.
Great Sermon! Another word of warning to the faithfull about the danger of this pseudo Calvinism! In leviticus the Lord forbade the use of certain materials to be integrated with others and prohibitions on foods etc. this was to teach us that we are not to mix that wich God sanctified as clean with that denounced as unclean! Holiness and purity in word and deed should be the vigilant persuit of every child of God even in doctrine because we are comanded not to have fellowship with the works of darkness and so what God commanded in ceremonial law, simply because He commanded ought to be the steady rule and great ambition under the law of the gospel! This law is the law of love and grace that causes His people to be faithful and true even as he is no matter the cost! If we are to be Christ centered rather than Man centered we will seperate from those who are not walking in the light but in darkness. Love first and foremost loves God and His truth above all else even if we lose the favor and friendship of Men. Thank You Pastor Ovadal! Stand firm in the faith of God's elect always contending but never contentious.
Great Sermon! Thank you for your educational and edifying Ministry. I am new(ish) and still learning. Praise God that he has maintained a remnant of true preachers to guide the flock in the right paths.
Thank you for your guidance.
Great Sermon! Yet another step in the downgrade of Dr. John Stephen Piper. According to Dr. Piper, the doctrine of imputation is no longer essential to the heart of the Gospel.
Ah, but he has a most formidable opponent in the apostle Paul. "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." - 2Co 5:21
My sins imputed to Him, His righteousness imputed to me. The great exchange, Hallelujah! The heart of the Gospel!
How about the dying words of Dr. J. Gresham Machen - "I am so thankful for the active obedience of Christ on my behalf, no hope without it." That's right Dr Machen, NO hope without it.
John Piper has however, palliated the heresy of the exclusion of imputation in the Gospel down to a mere error which we can tolerate.
I used to believe some well-meaning ministers were overstating it in saying that we are living in the apostasy spoken of by the apostle Paul in 2 Theess. 2, I'm now beginning to believe that they were right.
From blindness to blindness. This was a blessed sermon. I praise the Lord for it. It is true, these "faithful" preachers preach "all the Gospel" at conferences with Catholics, but do not say a word against Catholic errors; they preach "all the Gospel" at a conference with NT Wright, but do not say a word against the errors of NPP; they preach "all the Gospel" in the presence of Mormons, but do not say a word against the errors of Mormonism. The queation is: what remains from this "all the Gospel" preached?
Good advice. Looking back, through the years I had to renounce to read books or to listen to sermons by preachers about whose compromise in teaching, practice and associations I came to learn about.
