“ Great Sermon! ” Thank you for posting this service as Pastor Steele was the preacher at the church where I got saved. I could not attend the original service and this gives me closure.
“ Great Sermon! ” This is an amazing series and very worth while for men or woman. As he often does, Paul Steele defines the more important Hebrew words in a text; for example,there are several Hebrew words for "wisdom" used in The Book of Proverbs each with a slightly different meaning, but all important. One of my favorite parts was his lessons on Proverbs 3 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart..." I found there was much more to Proverbs than I previously thought.
“ Thank you Lord! ” What a blessing. This woman was asked to address a regular ladies bible study class when as pastor would be away and did the Lord ever use her as a "substitute" to bring correction and growth to me as she shared from her own experiences as a wife. Here's one example: Ladies, we are constantly judging and advising. "Why are you late?" That's a judgment. "You should have gotten here earlier" That's advising our husbands. Our husbands need us to exude understanding, not judgment and advising. "Oh I'm sorry you're late, you must have had a rough day, I'm so glad you're home. What happened?" This address was just so helpful in showing me wrong attitudes and usurping my husband's authority unintentionally. Thank you!
