O What a Wretched Man I am! How much of a sinner do you think you are? This message will put to rest any idea you may have that your not a "chief sinner". After examining ourselves against the Law of God we are driven to the Cross of Christ, crying out as Paul, "O wretched man that I am, who will deliver me from this body of death." Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ!!
Great Sermon! Do we worship the God of the Bible? A holy God who is capable of hardening hearts, and hatred? Or are we an idolatrous nation that seeks after false gods who stroke our vanity, and loves all without question....? Pastor Losardo asks the hard questions to a generation that is seeking a "god of this world" a more relevant savior, one who understands that these times are not like the times of the Old Testament, nor the times of Jesus, that we need a "different god" who can relate to modern men with modern needs, one that does not condemn but turns a blind eye to our transgressions....has God changed? Who changed Him? Is it perhaps we who are blind, who do not see the truth, because the darkness in our soul keeps us blind to the truth? These are questions we need to ask ourselves before a holy God. We need to obtain the eyesalve from God, so that we may see what He truly desires us to see. Thank you for a needed warning call to today's wishy-washy church.
Great Sermon! I echo the comments of all the others. What is taught today is "another gospel" which has some elements of the truth to it, making it more deadly. That way a person can believe they have made a full commitment, when they really haven't examined themselves truly by what the word of God says our condition is. Today hell is not preached, and damnation is not politically acceptable, so it is purged from today's message. Jesus taught about damnation, about the destruction of the soul of those on the wide path, the path of todays accepting evangelicalism. Jesus taught that it is the narrow road that leads to eternal life, and that few would find it. He told the rich young ruler what he needed to do to be saved, and he went away sorrowing... how many pastors would send away a rich potential contributor to their ministry with such penetrating words of truth?
Great Sermon! This sermon was so encouraging to me, thank you so much.
I've been under the mistaken notion that people naturally gravitate toward the truth, but this is not so. The more in line your words are with what the Bible teaches, the more the world will despise you and mock you.
I truly believe our time is getting very short, and the days ahead are getting more and more perilous. Be sure to be ready, have your spiritual armour on, do not be afraid to speak out the truth, to throw out the life-preserver to people who do not know they are lost and dying, but be ready for them to attack you for trying to help them, to curse and ridicule you, for telling them their true condition of spiritual decay for following teachings that are so wishy-washy, they hardly resemble the ain and suffering we are taught will follow those who believe and follow Jesus. They will accuse you of being unloving and divisive.
I felt so alone, and thought "maybe they are right, I'm doing this all wrong" and then heard this message, and realized that it wasn't how the truth was presented that was wrong, it was that no one wants to hear it.
Thank you, Pastor Poss, your message helped me understand the nature of spiritual warfare better. I am better armed for the coming trials ahead...
Truthfully Spoken! A very excellent message on the difference between the true shepherd of God and the hireling. The hireling is only in ministry for selfish reasons and does much harm to the sheep in his care. The good shepherd will show the character of Christ and love the sheep, and guard them from danger. We can be grateful for the few faithful shepherds in our midst that faithfully shepherd the flock given to them, and ultimately praise God for the Great Shepherd that gave His life for the sheep, and who truly cares for us and will never forsake us.
A message needed for this day In a day when doctrine is frowned at, and in a day when the doctrine of election is either not preached or, twisted into a man centered message.
Thank you Pastor Bill for not holding back on this doctrine that is misunderstood in our day. It was a joy to hear the message.
Much Needed Message For Christian America! This message is a profoundly sober, but yet encouraging message. It is time for all Christians in America to soberly consider what is said here.
Great Sermon! Again, another wonderful message showing where true eternal life comes from! Eternal life stems from a heart knowledge of the Father through communion, having Himself revealed to us through scripture by the Holy Spirit. This is very important to understand in an age where deceptions run rampant.
Christ Indeed All Sufficient For Believers! Pastor LoSardo is one of the few faithful ministers that I greatly appreciate and glean much wisdom and understanding of the word; not to mention much encouragement. This encouraging message that we can take comfort in the truth that Christ is indeed all sufficient. If we are faithless, we can take heart that our Heavenly Father is a faithful God to us, will never leave nor forsake us, and we will have victory over the world and our tribulations. Have good cheer, and be inwardly at peace, for Christ Jesus has overcome the world!
Great Sermon! I live in the heart of the Bible Belt. Unfortunately this new "gospel" of "Jesus will take care of your problems" has taken hold here in the South too. The modern techniques of evangelism have eliminated the need to repent from sin and come broken to the Cross. Preachers that still preach "Fire and Brimstone", (or the fact we all have broken God's law and deserve hell), are considered an embarrassment to todays churches. No wonder why 80%-90% of people who make professions of faith, (based on this modern evangelism), "fall away" when the new "plastic" Gospel falls apart.
Great Sermon! Excellent understanding of God's grace toward us. Knowing that we were chosen, and that we did not choose Him gives us a greater appreciation and love for the Lord in our service and worship to Him.
This is a message to stir us to bear much good fruit. It is all God's doing! Glory to God!
Fruit-Bearing As someone who only recently learned of and seriously began a study of the Doctrine of Election, I have often puzzled over and have indeed questioned John 15:16 and 17:9 as these scriptures relate to the Doctrine of Election. Pastor LoSardo directly confronts these passages in a way that is clear and meaningful for me.
Bold Proclamation of Truth My former pastor believes these things, but would never mention more than a hint in a message--for fear of offending the 'goats'.
Great Sermon! Praise God!! I'm presently in a church that preaches a watered down gospel. Many times I have left there believing I would never return. Then some hungry young christian aproaches me, and I am reminded by God why he's keeping me there. It is preachers like your self and others on this web site that continue to encourage me to stick to the TRUTH. So I would like to encourage you and those others as well.Eph 6:13-18 We are soldiers for Christ.
Heart Gripping! This is an excellent and profound examination of certain NT scriptures that have been used by many ministers to water down the gospel message. But after hearing this message it is loud and clear what the context of the scriptures point out for being true salvation in Christ.
This message will give a heart's check-up as to whether one has truly heard and received the gospel message unto salvation. When the word truly speaks, all doubt will be removed.
A strong stand against New Evangelicalism! How encouraging to hear a strong stand against New Evangelicalism and easy believism that is so prevalent in so many so-called Bible-believing churches today. Please continue to preach the true and complete Gospel of Christ "for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyon that believeth (Romans 1:16)
Great Sermon! Good clear message. Encouraging reminder that "The wages of sin is death." But Salvation is a free gift of God. Good explanation of God's gift of eternal life, starting right now if you are a believer.
