Gay By Birth or By Choice?

“ Great Sermon! ”
Always take note of the one asking the question. Unbelievers typically assume that the human consciousness is independent of the absolute determinate will of God. I would turn the question by asking how choice can even comport in a non-theistic worldview. If one is free from the council of God even to the smallest degree, absolute human autonomy even to the smallest degree would only make chaos of the universe and ultimately destroy any chance of CHOICE. God reigns over the affairs of men as Paul told the Ephesians therefore men must answer to God for his CHOICE to sin although it is still within his nature to do so.

“ Gay by Birth or by Choice ”
When does one decide to become an adulterer a murderer,an alcoholic, liar, thief , a child abuser, wife beater, husband beater, are they all born that way? maybe some have to struggle with sin more than others, what about self denial? .... " For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption " Sin is sin no matter how we dress it and God calls homosexual relationship sin, even calls it an unnatural relationship.

I am willing to obey what the bible says. What ever it says. Born of by choice does it make any difference ??it is still sin before God .

The question puts forth a false premise. We were all created by God to be straight, and for whatever circumstances influence people in their development they become pre-disposed to certain sins. So yes we choose to sin.We all have a sin nature, but sin is always our choice. My bigger concren here is what is your point of posting this.

Trevor, perhaps you should have qualified the phrase as a "symbolic" meaning of the word demon. Humans don't create demons! literally. So if your listeners don't create their own demons, then they don't believe in demons..... Well, not to belabor the point, but just to say that there are demons besides the ones we "create."

That was excellent! I can relate to that News In Focus piece because I would react the same way. I would "stew" over unfavorable outcomes and could they have been prevented. But God is in control - always has been and always will.

It's amazing to me that they can look at us and see nothing but absolute absurdity in what we believe, and yet I listen to them and come to the same conclusion. I find it funny that he was willing to say " when you study biology everything has a look of fantastic design" I always say if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...well then you know. People will argue about this until the day that Christ returns. I have no doubt that my creator exists because He sought me out when I wasn't even looking for Him. I was having fun being a heathen, He had other plans. I can't deny what happened to me.

It is sad to say but if we women waited for a nice guy who is Christian and will wait for sex until marriage etc we would never get married. Women settle for men like that because that is all that is available.

“ Partial transcript of 'Love Shall Wax Cold' ”
After hearing the sermon on Lev 13, entitled "Leprosy and Satanism Part 1", I was reminded of some points by this broadcast which I like to note down for posterity bec these points mean something special for me and noting it down will also benefit other listeners. If I may be allowed to quote you, first  -"we must always be reminded that sin is the exaltation of self. Sin crushes love. Sin is getting our way, and getting what we want." -"Love on the other hand is the exaltation of others above self. In these last days, is love dead? Is love, like truth, taken outback and three bullets put thru its head?" -"Second, we must bear in mind that feelings are not an indicator of truth, but you cannot deny what you feel. When a person dies, we often forget that they enter into eternity (so we are often blase about the death of others)". -"Faith is trusting God when he does not heal." -On a personal note, I am beginning to believe that, sometimes, depression (which i have) is the love of self above others. If u google 'depression' you'll get pages upon pages telling you that depression n idleness is caused by lack of self love. But I am starting to believe that sometimes (not all the time) depression n idleness is the result of too much self love.

“ It is just so ”
strange that Anton Lavey can sum up the depravity of Christians in 9 sentences when most modern day Christians cannot even see thru their own hypocrisy. Either Lavey is an excellent observationist or perhaps God raised up Lavey (and Alaister Crowley) in the 20th century to demonstrate how lukewarm Christians have become, and to stress that we are wretched, miserable and naked and the only direction we are headed for is to be rejected by Christ n to be spued out of God's mouth. That i find is an extremely sobering thought.

Pornography and Children
Trevor Hammack

“ Great Sermon! ”
Hi there. Unfortunately I can testify to the fact that when it comes to technology, parents should assume that determined kids will find a way to get around parental restrictions so they can access pornography. When I was 10 my christian parents didn't subscribe to Internet, but I discovered I could hook up the 56k modem and call into a ad-supported free landline phone dialup internet connection. Also where I lived at a certain time of night there would be soft porn on over-the-air TV, so I saved up and bought a small portable TV. Growing up the only time I couldn't access porn was usually on camping trips. Honestly I don't know if it is even possible to protect ourselves or even our kids, but the less technology and communication devices we have in our lives the better. Maybe it is time to consider having no computer, phone or TV in the house at all. God help us.

WOW!!! Amazing!!! Why was this ancient Christian prayer book ever surrendered to the Roman Catholic Church alone? Without daily reading the Divine Office, how much poorer could we be? Please point us to the link so we may daily listen.

This sermon was so timely... My friend is in struggle right now due to his father's condition.. All of us are so busy for the physical healing but not really his spiritual healing.... And thank you for enlightening us what we need more at this time.... We are asking for your help to pray for him to be healed and that his family will have stronger faith and to trust in God in this time...
