This is one book you NEED. Your devotional life needs it. Your scholarly life needs it. Your preaching needs it. Your people need your preaching to be nourished by it. May God raise up a black regiment of pulpit warriors who have lingered long at this particular cup.
“ How to worship. ” Presentation of Calvin's life after his conversion. Followed by his views and practice on preaching, worship. About prayer, Lord's Supper and music and their place in worship. Useful message.
“ Calvin's piety. ” Really profound and rich message. Essence of Calvin's piety, the expression of Calvin's piety and the end of Calvin's piety. Very useful lessons for Christian living. I am very thankful for this message!
“ God sovereign in salvation. ” Presentation of Calvin's life until his conversion; some lessons from his conversions; followed by a presentation of the 5 Sola's of the Reformation.
“ Great Sermon! ” Thank you Rev Thompson for another brilliant message.

“ Very Well Said! ” Speaking as a Baptist in Southern California, I am so impressed with so much rich teaching coming from this particular area of the world. The evangelical church of Northern Ireland (with teachers like Rev. Thompson and Rev. Paisley, others who are now teaching in America) recalls to mind that small Church of Philadelphia which our Lord commended in the Revelation.

“ Great Sermon! ” This is good solid preaching. Well done! This message adds nothing, and takes nothing away from the Sciptures. More preachers need to get back to basics in this way.
