Very rich message. Especially the quotes from Fuller's Memoirs, with those personal touches, are very illuminating. I really inspiring message.

How God Makes a Church
Jeff Riddle
“ Good teaching. ”
A church is a supernatural creation of God, bringing together people whose life He changed by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the preaching of the Gospel.

“ Interesting. ”
Useful and interesting presentation of the life and ministry of Broadus, as pastor and professor. Also, it is interesting the discussion about Crawford Toy's move toward Liberalism and, then, Unitarianism.

“ Good argumentation. ”
Very good refutation of John MacArthur's erroneous view. Excellent also the explanation of the importance of taking seriously matters like this.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Fascinating and convicting, primarily how secondary prayer can become in our lives. A message worth listening to.

“ I like the information ”
Thanks for the information, but the summation falls a bit short. My sister is SDA, but I have read a lot of their teachings and talked to her a lot to know that their teaching on the Trinity is way outside orthodoxy, and they are very works based. My sister even calls going to church on Sunday the mark of the beast. They came out with a [per]version of the Bible recently called the "Clear Word Bible" that is heresy at its finest. I do think all-in-all that your sermon is nice, especially the reaching out advice at the end.

“ Practical, Relevant Message! ”
The message title may cause many to fear that this implies blind obedience and submission to pastors, but Fuller quickly dispels that with this message that includes: 1. How pastors are to be elected, not imposed. 2. The criteria for submission to pastors, which is limited and qualified, not absolute nor arbitrary. 3. Criteria for hiring and firing pastors; what pastors are worthy of obedience. 4. The need for willing submission of people to their pastors, how they should behave toward faithful ones. 5. Get this: PEOPLE SHOULD EXPECT "PERSONAL VISITS" FROM THEIR PASTOR, to address personal matters! What pastors today engage in personal visits, to "watch out for your souls", outsides of Sunday sermons? This historic message rebukes the anti-authoritarian spirit of this present age, which rejects obedience and submission, and also the tyranny or disconnectedness, or lack of qualified pastors in today's churches.

Christ in Creation
Dr. David P Murray
“ Thought Provoking and Powerful ”
I love it when the preacher makes a beeline straight for Christ from the opening of the message and continues on that theme throughout. Dr. Murray beautifully illustrates that every single aspect of the created world was planned by Christ and executed to bring glory to Christ in the outworking of our redemption. You won't look at the natural world in the same way after hearing this powerful message.

Christ in Creation
Dr. David P Murray
“ Wonderful Sermon! ”
Ive listened to several of Dr Murrays sermons, and have always left full and satisfied. Christ in Creation is a foundational sermon that will help all Christians understand their relationship with Christ in ways they experience Christ each and every day with their senses. PS I found Pastor Nues sermon on Hebrews 2/Pslam 8 compliments this sermon well

The Quest for the Historical Adam
Dr. David P Murray
“ Great Sermon! ”
Everyone should listen to this sermon - not just those who believe the Biblical account. It will equip every saint and give pause to those who do not hold to six-day creation, particularly those who question the existence of our first parents. For those with children, he gives a most memorable and winsome Gospel offer at the end (of course, it is not just for the children!). If you go to his blog, http://headhearthand.posterous.com/the-quest-for-the-historical-adam, you can read and download the notes for additional reflection and study. His companion sermon "Christ in Creation" should be next on your playlist if you haven't already listened to it!

This sermon will feed your soul! No matter how many books you've read or lectures you've heard on creation, you will want to listen as Dr. Murray opens God's Word and preaches the excellencies of Christ and God's gracious plan of redemption. Go to Dr. Murray's blog, http://headhearthand.posterous.com/christ-in-creation, and you can read and download his notes from the sermon for additional contemplation and study. Don't forget to listen to "Quest for the Historical Adam" as well.

“ VERY Thought provoking! ”
Thank you for a very thought provoking presentation. Many of the dangers you point out are very real indeed, especially the ones which equate business tactics to the running of the church. One aspect I would mention however is, that some of the difficulty in 'pastoring' people over a multi-site church could also be experienced in a church that has a very large congregation. The Pastor would not necessarily know all the members personally or even have met all of them. The many elders in such sized churches meeting the needs of the vaious 'groups' in the congregation. If also a church grows too large for its present premises and really feels the need for the preaching of a particular gifted Senior Pastor, cannot the multi-campus approach be used, as long as the Senior Pastor visits them all in rotation. ie the Bethlehem Baptist, Minnesota, scheme. I do not believe though that this can be extended outside of very defined limits. eg. City limits. Thanks once again for such a stimulating subject. (I have no connection to Bethlehem Baptist, I just listen to some sermons on the internet)

“ Recommended-good investigation of timely topic ”
I recommend that people listen to this good investigation of a timely topic. The Seacoast church came to my town recently, blanketing it with direct mail marketing, and I knew nothing about it at all. I found their web site, something I recommend anyone do if they see one of these franchise churches, and I picked a sermon almost at random which had the speaker saying that Jesus took one for us on the cross like a real man. This presentation explains that statement, because these churches deprecate any sort of theological soundness and emphasize modern business techniques. The presentation, which is full of quotes from a book by the franchise church movement (including Seacoast) is an eye opener with a lot of good background details.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This a deeply thought-provoking talk. Makes you look at oneself to see how evil and wrong actions we can do when we don't know God and His love for us to follow. Without God as our leader, we commit hurt among our family.
