“ Exalting Reason Over Revelation ”
Pastor Hammack, thank you for sharing this message. It really shows how the modern evangelical church has imploded by letting the unbeliever have the monopoly in academia. It's really troublesome when Christian debaters put revelation to the side. One of the legacies that Cornelius Van Til left us was the understanding that we are never to put revelation to the side to confront the unbeliever. What's scary is that revelation was not only being put to the side, but trampled on by the very men that should have defended God's precious word. The approach that should have been used was to ask the atheists that they were debating about the nature of the very 'natural laws' that they took for granted. How could a random universe have laws to begin with? One of the atheists even mentioned logic and reason. A solid Covenant Apologist would have demonstrated that without the Christian worldview, the law of identity would not even make sense from an atheistic perspective. The unbeliever's worldview, when taken to it's ultimate conclusion is reduced to absurdity. Dinesh had what Van Til called a peace-meal apologetics approach and that's why this absurdity could not be exposed. I recommend Michael R. Butler's lecture, "Christianity & Science."

“ Great Sermon! ”
Trevor, thank you for your podcasts. I firmly believe in th doctrines of grace and especially the one of the perseverance of the saints. I take great comfort in knowing "the good work God has begun in me, He will see to completion". You call it going through the motions, I call it obedience and trust. At my church, our motto is, "we are nobodies and Christ is all". We look to Jesus to change us in his time because we can not change ourselves. btw our church runs a homeless shelter so we have many, many visitors who have not heard the simple message "Jesus came into the world to save sinners." All our sermons define what that means so we don't talk a lot about how to be a better person and what works someone needs to do to get right with God. Just the good news that we are saved through what Jesus did. God told Abraham He would provide the sacrifice and He most definitely did.

I still feel as if I an on fire for God. I do have some days that are better than others, but on the whole, I feel like I have substance in my life. I pray to God that I never become apathetic about my walk with Christ.

“ Thanks for letting us hear that! ”
I love debates like this. When the debaters on the side of GOD agree that a fundamentalist interpertation of the Bible on creation is "nonsense." I fell out of my chair. At that point the debate was OVER. The Devil was debating the Devil. Send in Hovind to debate all those clowns.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I am also thankful for my faith in Christ and i hope i can always put it of utmost priority, over the things of this world, as long as i live on earth, n that is something I have asked the Lord to help me in sanctification. And exactly the gospel where 'God sacrificed himself to himself' sounds so foolish that it requires the Holy Spirit to provide spiritual discernment to an unbeliever. Which is why the world sees believers as ridiculous and treats believers with contempt. For it requires child's faith to say there is one God but God is 3 Persons. The 2nd Person sacrificed himself while the First Person poured His wrath on the 2nd Person. This is what God tells us thru his word and believers must accept every word of God as complete truth, even if we do not understand it. Why God would bother to save me, a vile depraved contemptuous worm, is also beyond my understanding. But i am so thankful n grateful for it.

I didn't find the convoluted arguments of the atheists impressive at all. That speaker that said "God sacrificed HImself to HImself" and that was just a very crazy idea to him - well, he just very clearly demonstrated what it says in 1Co 1:23 " But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness"; 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned".

I really am so thankful for my faith and do not take it for granted, especially when I hear "intellectuals" who get so caught up on distracting details that they can not see a larger and more meaningful "picture". God will constanly reveal Himself to a trusting and humble heart. I would much rather have a spiritual gifts than an analytical "gift" that jeopardizes my faith and and understanding of WHO God is. I am also thankful for the opportunity to pray for these debators & those casting their "vote .

“ Debate Fact Check: Gagarin DID see God in space ”
The debate mentioned Premier Khrushchev in a speech declared Yuri Gagarin did not see God in space. Khrushchev lied. Story: When Yuri Gagarin, the first man who went into space, returned to Earth, there was a huge reception in his honor. As his close friend and cosmonaut colleague Alexei Leonov tells it, then-premier Nikita Khrushchev cornered Gagarin "So tell me, Yuri," he asked, "did you see God up there?" After a moment's pause. Gagarin answered, "Yes sir, I did." Khrushchev frowned. "Don't tell any one," he said. A few minutes later the head of the Russian Orthodox Church took Gagarin aside. "So tell me, my child," he asked Gagarin, "did you see God up there?'" Gagarin hesitated and replied "No sir, I did not." "Don't tell anyone."

Millions of Interpretations

“ Great Sermon! ”
An estimated 4,700,000,000 Bibles have been printed with 31,103 verses in each. According to Pastor Hammack, there are "10,000,000 interpretations per verse." Therefore, there are 100s of billions of Bible interpretations floating around the Internet and pulpits. With this massive proliferation of Bibles and incorrect interpretations, according to him, "We live in a time of spiritual anarchy." However, the Bible will always be the best-seller (plus it's online in almost every language) and the number of different interpretations grows exponentially every year. It's the 'Judges' form of interpretation: "Everyone does what is right in their own eyes." Ultimately, of these 100s of billions of interpretations, who is *the* source for understanding the truth of Scripture? Are we to most trust Pastor Hammack's interpretations with his million+ followers? And if not, who are these million+ to trust with their eternal souls? Another SA preacher? Billy Graham? C.H. Spurgeon? Let's face it, there are 1,000s more interpretations than there are living persons. If you don't trust any of these, at the end of the day, who do you 100% trust to correctly interpret the Word of God? Five star message!

“ great interview ”
To the first comment..wow, idiot? Is that the word christ would rec? Ive truly strayed away from christianity for many various reasons but to hear a christian speak about 9/11 truth is truly refreshing. Ive really started to loose all faith in christianity due to being completly closed minded, but people like you are really keeping the flame in my heart alive. Thank you for standing up for what is right. As a veteran, I left the military for this very issue and im glad to hear somone having the guts to go against the tide.

“ Well ”
Thank you for uploading the debate! I'm now very confused about something though. When one of the speakers said "think about it, god sacrificed himself to himself.." Well now that he says that, it really does sound a little crazy! Please help explain! I don't want to doubt but they made it sound very convincing. God bless you

“ Interesting ”
Lots of war-mongering in the quote you have played here. The military industrial complex are advertising again. America can not keep growing its overseas occupation without adding even more of a deficit. I have met quite a few Iraqis now in America that have been granted asylum from their country due to the American military occupation, they wouldn't wish another "democracy" on anyone. Definitely think you are onto something with this one. I hope and pray this does not happen to Mali. I also hope there is no false-flag event to herd the tax-payer into supporting this. Enough American lives have been lost on empire building already. Very sad.

That was an intensely interesting sermon, and most needful! If professing Christians were better acquainted with the Scripture they would not be led astray by smooth tongued decievers.

Why rely on a long string of old dead guys claiming the title of "The Rock" when you can tune into your own very cool TV (or radio) preacher, cozy up to the fire with your favorite hot cocoa and open a Bible with 25,000 commentaries from that very same preacher? Who needs that old pope in Rome? If you act now, you, too, can have Your Best Magisterium Now! Supplies are limited. This offer is too hot to miss. Call now.
