“ Serious. ” Excellent explanation of the arguments of the Jews in this verses by which they try to excuse their refusal of listening to the Gospel. God brings to light this kind of perverted mind, perverted argumentation.
“ Great Blessing ” This sermon was a great blessing to my soul, containing as it does the assurance of God's care for his people. I sent this to an old and dear friend who is distressed at troubles in his own denomination that he has faithfully served these long years, but that is now on the verge of apostasy as he put it. May the Lord continue gracious to all his blood-bought people in these dire times.
“ Powerful. ” A threat; a glorious provision; the error; a blessed assurance. Clear biblical teaching, but not only general principles, but many particular application and illustration of the church using carnal methods in trying to do the work of the Lord.
“ 4 churches. ” A look at the four churches in Revelation 2: the church who lacks love; the little church; the lax church; the church of the libertines. A very searching message in regard of the state of our churches.
“ Searching. ” Profound and searching message about our priorities in our Christian lives. We must be focused on eternal things, not on the earthly ones.
“ Token of His presence. ” Longing to see a token of God's presence and power. The Psalmist longed that his enemies might see God's hand working in his life.
“ Great Sermon! ” A very powerfull sermon which shows truly what it means to be justified in Christ's death. Listen all the way through and be blessed.
“ Call to a holy life. ” A presentation of the seven letters written to the seven churches, with the description of Christ, the situation of the church and the promise given to those who conquer. Christ, the Omniscient God, knows everything about us, about His churches, and He calls us to a holy life.
“ Glory of Christ. ” A wonderful presentation of the glory of the exalted Christ, His sovereignty, intercession for the believers and His care for the churches.
“ Glory to Christ. ” A salutation from God to His people, a description of God, the joy of the saints, the divinity of Christ. A message highly exalting Christ.
“ Following Jesus. ” False discipleship (exemplified by Ananias and Sapphira), the conditions of discipleship, the continuation and the fruitfulness of discipleship.
“ The book that preaches Christ. ” An introduction to the Book of revelation, stressing the point that it is a revelation of Jesus Christ, that the message of the book is about Christ, that the book preaches Christ.
“ Compassion for sinners. ” A message about Christ's compassion for sinners. The believers today lack a compassion like Christ's for sinners - we need to feel toward them as Christ did.
