Great Sermon! This sermon was very well expressed
and no one will have any excuses because the scriptures are clear on this subject.....Father Yahweh will not change his Word," his Word will change us if we surrender to it.
Thank you for the Truth,
Truth NEVER Changes I still have the tape of a message similar to this one that I heard over twenty years ago when Dr. Garlock visited my church. That message changed my life and my music forever. Now I am teaching my family the same principles. "Tiptoe through the tulips." God bless you Dr. Garlock.
OUTSTANDING! Did you get saved after you got married? Are you wondering how to love an "enemy of God", who is beholden to the very same sin nature that ruled your heart before you came to know the Lord? Did you think your spouse would get saved immediately after you, but they didn't, so you've been spiritually alone in your marriage for some time now? Is the distance between you and your spouse growing as you get closer to the Lord and they are still outside of Christ? This will encourage and edify you...this sermon will instruct you on the importance of honoring God through sacrificially loving your spouse in a Christ-like manner. I found this very practical in helping me understand why I must "go against the grain" in loving my husband when he is cruel or "unlovely"...(this is obviously how we take up our cross and treat others the way we were treated by Christ before we were saved, He died for us when we were yet enemies of God) yet, it is tough to live that out. This sermon helped, it made the difference in moving from KNOWING I must love my husband regardless to MOTIVATING me to love him from my heart as joyful obedience to Christ.
Profound! This is by far one of the most profound messages I have ever heard on the mercy of God. For the first time I clearly understand this wonderful often misunderstood attribute of Almighty God.
Gracias! Thanks for such a clear and powerful message about the real concept of love and marriage. May God bless you, and hope many young men and women listen to this sermon. Greetings and blessings from Spain. www.porGracia.es
So obvious I never thought of it! People so often use the term "real world" - but really what they are referring to is the "wrong world" where God does not exist, or is just a nice heavenly essence, or He doesn't matter. I guess I just had to hear it said out loud that the real world IS the Christian world. God IS real, He IS to be glorified...that is what is real! It's so simple...praise the Lord!
Great Sermon! Brother Jim Berg, Thank You So Much! For this message that is so key to understanding to the entire Word of God and to the very time and circumstances we are living in right now. I have recently heard a man make the comment, "You cannot honestly say that you support our troops (US Military) if you don't support their mission." I have to think this applies even more to us a children of God, how can we claim to love Jesus Christ if we don't support the Mission the Father sent Him into the world for and take it as our own in following Him? How can any pastor or church truly help Christians to live faithful to Jesus Christ if we sabotage and discourage them and belittle the very mission that God Himself is on and calls us as His children to? Thank You! and even more Thanks be to God for this message and its encouragement to be faithful to Christ.
Great Sermon! Dear Dr Berg;
I can't thank you enough for this sermon! In a day and culture were every pastor tries to pull out their microscope to impress people, you have come along with a mighty telescope that has shown me the "big picture" in a way that no other sermon has!
I especially enjoyed what you explained about Christ the Rabbi; His counter-tradition method is stunning!
I do not want to bore you with a list of all the other things you said that impacted me. Many things did.
In closing, please let me say that God has chosen to use your voice in speaking to me.
In Sincere Gratitude,
Highly recommended series... We have the "Quieting a noisy" dvd/workbbok set and it has been a tremendous blessing..Everyone we have shared this with has gone out and bought their own copy. A depressed and suicidal friend listened to this series several times and it helped him get back on his feet, now we are studying together "Created for His glory"..I have listened to many of your sermons and recommend them to others as scripturally grounded essential & practical teachings, thank you for making these sermons available online! God Bless!
Thank you Dr. Mazak for speaking about Marriage. Most people have no idea what the Bible says about marriage.
Thank you Dr. Mazak for addressing this issue. The pulpits have all fallen silent on this subject. People are not being told the truth.
Marriage is a lifetime covenant that ends with death. Anyone who divorces their spouse to marry another are charged with adultery.
“A wife is married to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes.”
1 Corinthians 7:39
“A husband must not divorce his wife.”
1 Corinthians 7:11
“Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery,
and the man who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.”
“The man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys his own soul.”
“Adulterers… will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”
1 Corinthians 6:9
This is a very serious issue.
