Powerful Sermon In this thought-provoking sermon, Rev. Baucham lays out clearly the ramifications of this doctrine, and outlines the specifics in a very clear, concise, and direct manner. I felt convicted, and yet encouraged by God's grace through Christ. This has helped me to more clearly understand the power of the gospel. Wherever you are in your faith journey, this message will become a giant step toward the goal. It is truly an unforgettable message from the Holy Spirit. "There is no fear of the Lord in their eyes." Amen!
Great Sermon! Thank you. I have been being told that I must divorce my second husband and remain single, and I have a four year old. I agree that what I did was horrible sin, and I was GRIEVED to think my marriage would be considered continual adultery, and also GRIEVED at the same time at the thought of having to divorce. I now better understand the holiness of God and I do fear, and I hope I can heal from this in time. I am so broken and anyone reading this please say a prayer for us. Thanks.
Great Sermon! This was amazing. I share the same burden as Paul in the salvation of my kinsmen.
I keep checking for the next sermon of Romans 10 and how verses 9-10 are misappied even in my own church. I look forward to sharing it with the leaders.
God bless you Dr. Baucham and thank you!
Denise
EXCELLENT SERMON ! ! ! Pastor Baucham delivers a most excellent sermon here. If anybody is having a problem with accepting / understanding the doctrine of unconditional election... THIS IS THE SERMON FOR YOU / THEM. Are you wondering, "What do I tell someone who has been a 'Christian' for xx years, who believes they are the final arbiter of their own salvation, i.e. accept or reject Christ?" Just give them a copy of this sermon. What will be more telling is their response after they have listened to it. This was a very courageous sermon to deliver, obviously empowered by the grace of God's indwelling Holy Spirit.
Wow I have struggled with the thought of remarriage after the divorce my wife handed me. Thank you for being clear and true to the Word of God. I believe a load has been lifted off my shoulders.
Great Sermon! Wonderful! Reminds me of one my pastor did recently - Holy Matrimony: The Prized Jewel Of God 8/22/2010 (SUN) | Bible: Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 2:18-25 (http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=822101125295)
Having Youth Ministry Issues? Life-changing sermon! PASTORS, ARE YOU LISTENING?: By A.D. 2100, 16M Southern Baptists will shrink to 250,000. Why? (1.) "We aren't having enough kids!" (2.) Evangelism Rate: Out of every 43 Southern Baptists only one led to Christ. (3.) Ineffective Evangelization of SBC Kids: Youth ministry not biblical and not working. Dr. Baucham's antidote?: (a.) "Have a boat-load of kids!" AND (b.) Fathers: "Disciple your children!" AND (c.) "Honor a woman with 6-7 children!" A classic sermon by Dr. Baucham. Don't let the Sun go down without hearing this.
Thank you! Dr. Baucham,
I always wondered how people could justify divorce. Even as a child I understoond God's Word to say otherwise. Thanks for clearing up my confusion.
Great Sermon! Although many people find this to be a very objectionable topic, the Scripture is very clear on this point. I appreciate your willingness to stand on Scripture, in spite of the controversy surrounding this issue. Many are not willing to do so. Thank you.
Great Sermon! I didn't like hearing this, but it was an eye opener. I now understand why I can not remarry, and accept this willingly. Thank you, Dr. Baucham, for being so clear in your explanation of scripture.
