Sagacious Sermon Being the daughter of a pastor, I recognised so acutely those categories he mentioned. His descriptions were most insightful, and not only that, but his warnings against them, effective.
I always enjoy his rich store of metaphors!
Great Sermon! I woke up this morning listening to a great sermon by CH Spurgeon. As I became aware what I was listening to I was overwhelmed by it and felt that this should be shared with everyone. I have often felt that God has given me a burden to pray and felt that by praying often or at specific times I feel God's presence. However, it happened early this morning and I sense the need for as many people as possible should hear this also. So I just want to encourage all who get this set apart some time in the next few days to find about 45 minutes to listen to this also: Maybe at the end of the day or try to get up an hour early in the morning or anytime during the day
A must hear for all who struggle with prayer. This was my first Spurgeon sermon and one I'll absolutely listen to many more times up ahead I'm sure. He has an incredible ability to hit home hard with the Truth regardless of whether it offended his audience, and that's something hugely lacking in many of today's preachers who preach a social happy Gospel of love, prosperity and a rare mention of sin! If you (like me) struggle in the area of prayer, then make sure you keep this one bookmarked, as it will absolutely inspire you next time you kneel before our Master. Thanks to all who've taken the time to record these awe-inspiring sermons which do sometimes need to be heard as opposed to just being read!
Great Sermon! I love so many of your sermons. I have learnt so much & have had God really move in my life from listening to them. Thank you so much for this wonderful website. Blessings, Brenda. (from: The "Land Downunder")
Spoke to me directly! This sermon has really reassured me! I was worried that a deliberate sin I commited today had caused Christ to withdraw from me, but in him is fulness of grace, I get all my grace from him! I take nothing from myself. I am saved, not by my works, but by his grace and mercy of which there is no limit. Praise the LORD! :)
Great Sermon! Dear Brethren in christ,
Greetings to you all in the most precious name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ!
It is happy to mention that the MP3 messages on SermonAudio, especially on the subject church and its basic doctrines are very much useful for the bible student like me. Thanks for the great effort.
May our good God bless your ministry abundantly in coming days.
OH...IT'S INCREDIBLE! How the Blood is so sufficient! This is one of those sermons that you will want to listen to over and over, and everytime a new Truth is revealed! It will make you want to sing about the blood, praise Him for that precious blood. Oh...if you in a state of lack, this message will fortify you! "Faith cometh by hearing..."
Thank you Lord for your servant C H Spurgeon!
Great Sermon! wow, I'm saved! I'm saved! Praise God I couldn't have done it on my own. I trust in nothing but the blood of Jesus Christ! Believer and non-believer alike, listen to this sermon, it's very good. Discover the most priceless and wonderous thing in the whole world, the blood of Christ.
A wonderful Sermon! This is a great sermon which, although it is being read by an American voice loses none of its spiritual force and power. As Spurgeon himself says in the course of the message one should set aside his prejudices and listen. Enjoy!
Thank you, Spurgeon. Once again, Spurgeon has challenged me to return to the basics: a sincere relationship with God expressing itself through prayer. This sermon has helped me to think of prayer in a different light, and has given me practical prayer advice. Thank you, Spurgeon.
So desparately needed!!! In this world of seeker friendly congregations and the lack of emphasis on repentance, this is a much needed message. I think many of us have forgotten what we are looking forward to and what we are being saved from. If you have forgotten that our God is a just Judge, please get this message.
Great Sermon! In every decision that we make, we need wisdom- godly wisdom. There are many ways we can manifest wisdom in life: Consistency in our character is wisdom. Being careful in our conversation is wisdom. Honesty in our dealings with others is wisdom. Walking the straight and narrow path of life is wisdom. Refusing to heed temptation is wisdom. Indeed, wisdom is important to all of us. We need godly wisdom. That is why listening to this message of C.H. Spurgeon will give us a clear idea that all the precious jewels of this world will not be compared to godly wisdom that God will give us. He encourages us to trust God so that we can gain wisdom. Hear this message now. Be attentive in your heart. Then, live a life of wisdom. When you do, you will learn to handle all matters wisely.
