Introduction Wahoo Community Church is a fellowship of evangelical believers striving to teach the whole Bible plainly. We seek to minister to individuals and families in an effort to help them come to and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) was founded in 1887 by Dr. Albert B. Simpson (a Presbyterian minister) as a society to unite Christians from various backgrounds to effectively participate in spreading the gospel throughout the world. The C&MA has since grown to become a world wide movement which supports over 1,100 missionaries in 49 countries. The C&MA is now represented in 66 countries worldwide. What do we believe and teach? We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that it is inspired by the Holy Spirit and is the final authority in faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16,17), and that it is without error and infallible in the original manuscripts (2 Peter 1:20,21). We believe that there is one God and within the one Being that is God, there exists eternally three coequal and coeternal persons, namely, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:4-6). We believe that man was originally created in the image and likeness of God but because Adam sinned he brought sin and death to be the experience of every human (Romans 5:12-14). The Bible says that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23), and "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son who is God (John 1:18; 3:16) who was also conceived supernaturally by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-25). He is both God and Man who alone lived a perfect life in fulfilling the Law and experienced the wrath of God by suffering and dying on the cross to pay the penalty for sin. He was also raised on the third day in fulfillment of Scripture there by being able to forgive all who trust in him and what he accomplished and to grant to those who believe eternal life. Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation given to mankind (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). We also believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the believer's "blessed hope" (Titus 2:11-14). We believe in the resurrection of believers and unbelievers; for the former, a resurrection unto eternal life; for the latter, a resurrection unto eternal judgment (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20).
