Introduction SDBC was established in 1959 by Pastor Jack Hall with a vision of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the community of Homestead and foreign lands. This vision is still maintained today by the Pastor and staff of the church. As an independent Baptist church we firmly believe that the Scriptures are the final authority in the believer’s life and ministry. We preach salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ so that all may have the opportunity to respond to God’s free gift of eternal life. To Christians, the message is for a life of consistent fellowship with Jesus Christ through his Word which will express itself with his burden for the lost and a desire to live a life of godliness.
